All discussions about Bungie.net and the forums go in Septagon, but I think you're on to something here. A buddies list would be neat, there could be a little symbol next to a thread title telling if a buddy has posted there or not.

Spartans don't die, they simply go to hell and regroup.

I think there should be a thread for suggestions about forum features, i got one already!

A buddies list!!!!

That way i wouldnt have to find their profiles all over again everytime!

Finally, someone who agrees! Now, if we can just get a moderator to sticky this (*wink*)

It doesn't need a sticky. It'll float around the top of the page for a while yet, and then, when it becomes boring, it'll slowly fall off the page.

Great Idea though.

Yes, but if it gets a sticky, then more people will look at it, try to spread this thread around a bit, cause a buddies list would be pretty cool.

I agree, I think their should be a sticky on this one!

I also have an idea for the forum: Smileys, (msn 7.0 has Halo 2 smiley's!)

I'm new here, and I noticed one thing. you can't have a personal avatar, i miss that, because on other forums, you can, as well as buddies, and smileys! Also, possibly a post counter, or at least a post counter in the profile section of someone's account. Also, depending on the post level, a different rank (although this might encourage spammers a bit too much...).

Personal Avatar: A nice idea, but because there would be people who would put inappropriate crap there, it's a no. And no one is going to spend time looking through hundreds of personal avatars to make sure that they are appropriate.

Buddies: I'm thinking that's more for instant messaging than forums. It's cool to see who's online and stuff, but it seems like you could talk to them any other time using private messages or other random forms of communication.

Smileys: :) ;) <;) XD They get their point across all the same.

Post counter: Already had it, but it caused problems with members thinking that they would get something or be something by posting enough, therefore encouraging pointless posts and spam.

Ranking: From what we hear, they're working on a karma system.

Pics in sigs: Same thing as the avatars, and it would take up far too much space, on the computer and inside.*

Search Feature: Although not previously mentioned, would be nice, and said to be in effect within a few short months.

*I don't know how to make it any more understandable for: its late, and I'm feeling ill.

What do you mean by karma??

Oddly enough i agree with most of what you've said.
