I believe it has been confirmed you will eventually travel to another Forerunner Halo ring, a moon base, and possibly another planet other than earth. But imagine if you jump in a -blam!-pit with a ODST or another flight controller (whatever) maning the controls, and during your flight u can walk around the ship - visit the c0cpit, perhaps travel to a weapons room to select some weapons for the next mission, goto a Med room if you need your shields or health regenerated, and at any point while walking around on the ship you could look out of the window and watch the stars pass by and planets off in the distance get smaller as you approach your destination. I think Bungie is capable of little touches like this - and it would add a lot to the gameplay and the total experience of immersing the player in the game. I think I read somewhere Mace Griffen tried something like that but failed miserably at it.

What do you guys think??

.. I don't think you need a room to regenerate your shields.

Bungie said much of the game wouldn't actually take place on Earth, and that there will be flood, in other words, you will probably leave earth to another Halo, Halo: Beta.

I dont think Bungie is Going to change the gameplay style that much. Just things about the combat (weapons, enemies, vehlicles, and graphics)

right- Chile .. not an actual level but a nice in between level that allows you to gather yourself and enjoy the beautiful scenery ... they could also populate the ship with a bunch of Non Human players walking around and talking to eachother like "war is hell" and "i hope they are holding them off back on earth" and stuff like that

you could end the level immediately if you wanted to by pressing start to continue on for those who just want the action and dont feel like exploring

Yeah, I love those kinds of things in games. Though I doubt it's going to be implemented into Halo 2. There's a game called Nam 67 that's coming out this summer on Xbox, and it's going to have something very similar to what you're talking about.

thanks sounds awsome

i do realize they are tremendously busy with much more important things, but if they had time for something like that it would be so great - as i recall they were considering taking out the animals they have been considering putting in the earth levels due to time constraints : (
