Over at HFCS we're constantly hard...
Wait...
What?
In response to your subject, yes, you can start a Halo 3 Hosting Site, though I doubt Microsoft would want to make any lucrative deals with you unless your site became extremely popular. There's also a few other important details you need to know:
1) Who is going to program and code all those webpages? To keep people from breaking your site, you need rock solid coding, but effective and flashy enough to look modern. To design a site like that would cost hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars, and any of your friends, unless they're a complete moron, wouldn't do such a large job for free.
2) What if your stack crashes, the power goes out for extended periods of time, or your ISP goes down? No one will be able to visit your site and your sponsors won't be able to advertise. You need redundancy plans.
3) Are you aware of the cost of a T1 line? It's approximately $250 per month, which gives you approximately 32 connections at 3 Mbps. If your site booms, your looking at 3 or 4 T1 lines all running into your basement.
4) ZoneAlarm is great and all, but It won't stop anyone serious about crippling your network. You need to protect yourself and your data from everything from network attacks to time bombs. Software to handle all of this is usually very expensive and requires of team of people to keep it running effeciently.
Bottom line, have a major ISP host your site at their building. Not only will upgrading bandwidth be convenient but your site will remain secure.
P.S. - Hosting the videos on your laptop is a reckless idea. Not only do you not have enough bandwidth or processor power, but it would leave your system vulnerable to any malicious person.
