Sometimes the banshee does some major damage reduction... I've sometimes had to use a tank's main cannon 3 times in multiplayer to take one down. 'Course, that seems absurd, but it's the truth.

uh... yeah. it's not absurd at all; if you look at what i wrote previously, you'd see why. also this is proof that i don't have lag problems(see above)

do you guys ever fly banshees? it only takes a single tank hit anywhere on you to take you down. you guys just have ...just have...just have...just have...just have...just have...just have...LAG!

uh... no. it's the armour. it even hapens ON A LAN, WITH A NETWORK CONNECTION, WHERE THERE IS NO LAG. so stop telling me it's lag. also, it hapens quite often, again proving it's a feature, not lag

The banshee pilots feet stick out. I wonder iof you can do more damage if you hit them?

i have done that too, but as it is their feet, it is verry innefective. it's the same as shooting their feet on the ground

but it is lag. i have clocked over 300 hours of online multiplayer banshee flight, and have been hit everywhere by everything and im tellin ya, its not possible to be hit by the tank and live, unless you get hit on the very edge of the wing.

let me guess... you turn around tanks to avoid fire. that exposes your top, a weak point, as i said before. if you head strait at the tank, but aim just below it, you'll see im right. but it might take some practice for you not to expose your underside.

oh yeah, i forgot- i clocked 475 hours on multiplayer. i play Halo every day since i discovered it, which was recently, unfortunatly. most of the time i was in a banshee, and i survived 1 out of every 10 times i was hit by a rocket since this post started. im not saying that what im talking about is easy or common, im just saying it does happen

Yeah, I've survived rocket attacks as well... direct ones, but not to the bottom of the Banshee. I'd say that when hit straight on with a Scorpion's main round, right on the front of the curve, a Banshee flier can survive... but on the weak patches, on the bottom or the side, a Banshee can be taken out in one shot. My greatest moment in a Banshee was when I managed to dodge Scorpion shots by a hairsbreath... so the shot just barely misses my wing... over almost the entire length of Blood Gulch.

On the sides you can kind of see their hip and a little above that. Maybe that other dude got shot through that little hole and since the snypar ryfl shot is so strong, maybe it went to his head. Maybe?

i tried that, but it was verry innefective. mabye it was a lucky shot. or mabye you were hit by a tank round at the same time the sniper shot. you usualy can't tell from a banshee that you've been hit by a tank round unless you survive it, or you can see the tank that's shooting at you. it has happened to me a few times

I've never been able to kill a Banshee flier with a single shot before with a sniper rifle, and I've never succeeded. Probably because the shot sticks in the player's ass.

Rocket Shoot when STARIGHT AHEAD

PLASMA NADE in front of you!

Going back to getting sniped out of a banshee... How much life did the pilot have? Maybe he was on his last red.

alright, its true you can survive a hit if its on that one heavily armoured spot, but since I usually only get hit when two tanks double-team me, i almost never get hit there, because I cant have my heavy armour in two places at once.

Banshees if anything are the easiest to take down in multiplayer situations. Lob a plasma granade at it or shot it with something explosive preferably towards the back.

plasma grenades are easy to survive in banshees... just make sure they hit you on the nose.. but a good flier never gets close enough to be naded anyway.
