Okay, I'm new to these forums, so please don't flame me to oblivion ;-)

As I said, I'm planning to get Halo for the PC and I was wondering if it was possible to play mulitplayer with just one copy of Halo. I know Bungie did this with the Myth II CD, where it was possible to play with up to three people with one CD ist this possible with Halo as well, as I don't really won't to buy a second copy just to play LAN....

Just before posting this thread, I read through some of the other threads, and most of them are about people having trouble with Halo. Is it really the case that Halo is so buggy?

Anyway thanks for any replies.

Online multiplayer yes, with up to 15 other people. On one PC, no. Over a LAN, one copy per machine. And yes it knows if you're trying to use the same copy. Halo has never been buggy for me, or the mojority of people I've spoken to. It only seems like a lot of people have problem because they're the only people who come to the forums to complain about it. Myself and a few others hang around here to discuss other Halo-related topics and also to help out these people with their problems, but almost no one comes here to say "hey, y'know Halo works fine on my PC, with like no problems or bugs or anything'. I would greatly recommend you get Halo for PC, it's so cheap nowadays anyway, and there's still thousands of people playing it.

Oh yeah and welcome to the forums.

Heyyo,

I'm sure LAN doesn't check cd keys.. but ya never know. I have done some LAN gaming with it, it's fun. :)

HaloPC does have probs sometimes, but yeah, there's a lot of people having a pretty steady game. I had a bumpy one for a while there, but I'm all sorted out. HaloPC checks for your CD, so that's annoying, but meh, you gotta realise they just wanna make sure people aren't ripping them off....
