Poll: Bathroom Reader  [closed]
Bring it back!:  100%
(35 Votes)
Total Votes: 35

Many of you have probably read one or more of the bathroom readers, there were only a few, but they were quality community examples of our collective awesomeness.

I say, bring back the Bathroom Reader.

Apparently there hasn't been one for a while due to lack of member support, so I have been told by Sir Brilliant, that if I can get 100 people to ask for one, then one will be made.

But it doesn't stop there. The bathroom reader relies on the community to submit fan-art, fan-fic, game and movie reviews and anything else that would make it great!

Links to the previous Bathroom Reader issues can be found here:

Issue 1
Issue 2
Issue 3
Issue 3.14
Issue 5

Check it out for some ideas!

So show your support, and let's get it going again!

"Anything you guys want in the bathroom reader, post in the thread -SB"

Send any ideas or stuff you want to submit to the mag to sir_brilliant at sirbrilliant@gmail.com

SB is a meanface who eats the souls of little children...babies, even.

I'd love to see the bathroom reader back and I'd be willing to help, too.

 • 12.19.2007 11:47 PM PDT

Yeah, if you guys want it back, that's totally cool. I'm prepared to get to work on the next one if there's at least 100 people who want it back. Posts are always better than poll count as well, so if you want to spread the love for the Bathroom Reader, say what you liked so we can bring more of that back. I'll go ahead and get the team back together should we get the number of votes within the next week or so.

First time posting in bnet in a long time...maybe too long.

My suggestion #1:

A centerfold... Of a pink Spartan in Recon armour of course... :)

That would get alot of people drooling, or flaming...

I would love to see it return, however, is GJJ still without Internet and life pretty much? I remember that he was a huge part of it. Maybe if you guys could reorganize the group that created the reader and enlisted new talent it would be a shot at success?

I miss the bathroom reader and would definately like to see it return. I also like the thought of getting the group reorganized to help bring it back.

Jim, as far as we know (since nobody's seen him for at least 3 months, probably more like 6), is without internet and we haven't seen him because of it. Should the Bathroom Reader get up and rolling again, I'll give him a call and see what he can do. I know he has access to internet at his work, but obviously it won't be heading it unless he really wants to. Or thinks he can. It's his mag as far as I'm concerned...I'm just holding onto it until he becomes rich and famous.

Also, I'm currently hosting the 5 issues of the Bathroom Reader on my website, in case you didn't see Skibur's updates. Here are the links to them, in order:

http://jamez.soffish.com/Bathroom_Reader/1.pdf
http://jamez.soffish.com/Bathroom_Reader/2.pdf
http://jamez.soffish.com/Bathroom_Reader/3.pdf
http://jamez.soffish.com/Bathroom_Reader/Pi.pdf
http://jamez.soffish.com/Bathroom_Reader/5.pdf

Back issues, if you will.

Aw, SB, what made you stop holding a grudge against BNet?
Things just seem too...happy now.

More Bathroom Reader would be awesome.

Yeah, I haven't seen you since, maybe, late '05.
I don't remember the Bathroom Reader, but it sounds ok. I'd like to see what it's about.

There is a reason I am user ID 1 and my account creation date is before this site came online.

I'm all for the Bathroom Reader. Maybe we can get Foman to edit it. And by edit it, I mean add an additional 8000 characters to each and every article.

If SB needs any help since Jimbo is preoccupied in the Stone Age (or whatever you call it before internet) I'll be happy to add my overly-opinionated voice/text to anything really.

Controlling fission events without incident since May, 2012.

I want it. I need it. I hunger for it. We need you bathroom reader!

I'd love to see more issues, I loved the past ones and would be there to provide a helping hand if need be on simple tasks. Just don't let me anywhere near that "Brainstorming" thing. Witchcraft I tell you.

Yeah, I did. That's probably why I'm listed as a heroic member, regardless of my complete lack of activity for the better part of a year and a half.

I don't actually eat them. They are used and infused together, along with some other stuff, to make POWER THIRST!

Yeah, I went there.

So this was something made by Bungie? sounds cool. I'd love to help out in any way I can.

You missed the point like Vader missed the banshee, your whole argument is covered in bees.
Stop sending me group invites -blam!-s!

I never liked the interview I did for the reader. I was a lot dumber back then than I am now....

Oh well.

It wasn't made by Bungie, it was made by community members. Mods aren't Bungie, they are just their slaves.

Oh, and Lars is better.

I would definitely love to help out in the graphics area, even writing some tutorials and interviews with other artists. Please PM me if you want to talk. The bathroom reader was a great idea that I would love to see brought back, and would definitely give me some more experience working on material people interact with.
