I think that it's pretty undisputable that the 7th column is over-cluttered with unused chapters and members. Since Bungie is so very busy with all things Halo2, it would be way too time consuming for them to disband these dead groups and users.

That's why I propose giving the Mods the ability to clean this place up a bit. I think it would help the flow of everything tremendously. I here stosh is killer with a vacuum, and I know Yoozel looks great in an appron.

I have to agree, or then again the all mighty web master could just run a program to delete all members who havent posted in 6 months and all chapters that haven't had an update in 6 months or something like that. I'm relatively sure he could write a program like that if he knows how, after all if he's webmaster he must know computers pretty well... and it would fix the clutter problem a lot.

Did you know I ran across a LOTR chapter a while ago and it had 4 members and not one of them had logged on to Bungie or the 7C in the past 4 months. Talk about a waste of web space, no wonder the 7C almost colapsed!

Edit: Also I would like to see Yoozle in a dress... I mean apron. lol =)

I hear achronos is working on somekind of system that will "auto-magically" clear out inactive members and chapters.

i didn't know that magic stuff could be automatic.
Shouldn't all the delete stuff be a task for the 7th council? If there ever will be one.

Maybe that automatic program will delete something you didnt want it too, i think the founder of the column should get a message before deleting it.

This has been addressed in a number of topics before - when the 7th Column gets migrated over to the new hotness, all the deadwood will be purged. Until then, nothing is happening.

To purge is to throw up. So that means that the 7th column will be vomitting dead wood? Sounds pleasurable!

I think that's how the server feels at the moment.

I guess I should have found out just how much the mods have to do before I decided to suggest they have more work. Plus, that would be a lot of work for anyone to do, regardless of how much other crap they had to do. I am ashamed.... Having a program to auto-delete unused chapters and users would be awesome. Thats wierd to think about, an un-used user. Whoa

Why does it even matter when these get deleted? You can't create new ones right now, and existing ones don't hurt anything.

No, this matter will be taken care of by the new hotness eventually. I simply don't understand why it matters so much that they be deleted "right now".

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

Yes I agree 110%. Absolutely true, Yoozel DOES look good in an apron. :D

I think Achronos is right. They aren't hurting us. Why pick a fight with them? They'll just steal my lunch money. That's not good. Would it be nice for the column to be cleaned? Absolutely. Does it NEED to be done right now? Negative.

Psh.. you haven't seen nothing until I'm in a dress!

I dunno, people must feel an urgency to get the dead wood out of the way.

Things are just cluttered and it's hard to make your way around. How awesome would it be to have every chapter you visited be active? If having all those dead chapters etc exist doesn't hurt the 7th column at all then I'm not as worried about it. I apologize for beating the dead horse, I wasn't aware that the subject had been addressed many times already.
