Hey dudes.
I really like those ubiquitous gamercards available from mygamercard.net. I thought it would be cool to have one dedicated to Halo 3 stats. Not finding anything online, I decided to write my own application that harvests information from Service Records and makes it into a nice little card, available for your website, blog, myface, or (other) forum sig. They're the same size as the cards from MGC, so they pair nicely.
You can see my card by clicking here: http://h3card.s3.amazonaws.com/TrevBone69.png
I also trolled through my recent player list and made some more examples: NakedGuy, ButterflyK1sses, Phred Savage, omer000, ThisIsPathetic, EVANS316...
If having one of these cards is something that interests you, please leave a reply here with your gamertag, PM me, or send an email to h3cards@gmail.com. You'll be added to the list of players and my Frankensteined server of old parts will start churning out your cards forthwith.
Once your card is created, you're free to link to it. Like gamercards, it will update automatically. It will be available here:
http://h3card.s3.amazonaws.com/your-gamertag.pngNaturally, replace "your-gamertag" with, get this, your gamertag. These images are case-sensitive as well, so if your gamertag is "TrevBone69", entering "trevbone69.png" will return an error.
Linking your card to your Bnet Service Record would be a good idea, too. For your blog or social network profile, enter this:
<a href="http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Halo3/Default.aspx?player=your-gamertag">
<img src="http://h3card.s3.amazonaws.com/your-gamertag.png">
</a>And to add it to a forum (that allows images), enter this:

* You may need to put those 3 lines into 1 line to get that code to work. Line breaks were added for readability!Unfortunately (oh no, here come the caveats), these Service Record Cards don't update as often as gamercards from MGC for a number of reasons. Partially because Bungie doesn't have an API available to access their sweet, sweet data, so I'm basically parsing HTML pages to get the needed information. But mainly they're slow to update because this is just a hobby of mine, and I'm still feeling out hosting (meaning, I'm throttling back until I see how much it costs [which shouldn't be much]). So we'll call this an "opt-in beta" until I know if people are interested in these things.
So that's that. Again, get me your gamertag if you want in. If you have any suggestions or problems, let me hear them! I already have some ideas for new features and skins, but I'll wait for a community response before moving on.
Thanks for reading!
