Btw - polls on bungie.net mean absolutely nothing, so please don't use them to try and prove some kind of point.

I am not sure that I see or understand how displaying that data would be helpful or improve anyone's use of the forums.
Since we are (supposedly) here to share our thoughts, opinions, experiences, ideas and views.... we already see the number of pages, the number of replies (as both can show how active or large a thread is), we see the last post date/time and the name of the last responder....
What information could a view counter provide that would assist members?
Well I notice a lot of the times that many of my posts will drop real fast and never get noticed, or at least I think.. The thread views counter, would at the very least, let the thread creator know that people noticed his post, just chose not to reply.. I can't say so for everyone, but there are lots of threads I peek into, skim real quick and move on if I dont feel like posting. In this sense, a thread views ticker may show hey this is something you may want to take a peek at but there isn't a need to respond. I agree it itsn't dire or necessary, but it would be cool..
