All Bungie.net members are not equal, so let us stop pretending that they are. Since Achronos has so generously given many members of Bungie.net new ranks based on the new trust system, these members should be able to take advantage of new and special privileges here on Bungie.net. I am proposing that the upper ranks of members, any member above a normal member, should have powers over the lesser members of Bungie.net. For example, a Heroic member should have the ability to ban normal members, edit their posts, lock their threads, etc. And the Legendary Members can do the same to not only normal members, but Heroic Members as well, etc. By giving non-moderators a certain reasonable level of power on the forums, these trustworthy members that are given titles to raise them above the common members of Bungie.net will take a huge burden off of the moderators who are already overwhelmed with the large amount of traffic on Bungie.net. As long as everyone has someone to answer to, the proper balance of power will be maintained and Bungie.net will become a better place to interact with others.

No. If there are any bad ideas about member privileges, its giving them only to a select few of them. All members should get equal rights and options, or there will be anarchy.

Then what is the point of a moderator. Plus some of those members might abuse that power.

SB-117

They have moderators already...

Blacklist and lock powers are not simply something frivolous to hand out.

However, the next best thing has been given to all members, the report button. Perhaps it would be nice if Heroic/Legendary members' reports are deemed more "valuable", but other than that, the member title is just a little perk.

So I think Jun's a master chef, because he takes off his helmet and your like whoa, I think he's a chef.

So to shorten this up, Jun is master chef.

No. No, no, no, no, no. The trust system is run by a computer and computers can flaw. If a member had more privileges than me because he has been a member longer and has only posted 3 times, I would get pissed. Very pissed.

I have to agree with Tony. A good example of the system awarding titles out to people who would abuse the power, is a member who was a member since 2005 with no posts what so ever. First post he made this year was to ruin the ending of I Am Legend. -_-

EDIT: And he was a heroic member.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

No, cause I might go bonkers and perma-ban everyone. No that that would happen though.

If 'higher' members got more powers, that would just increase the spam in the forums. I'm 100% aware that post-count doesn't contribute to the trust system, but you try telling that to the thousands of other ignorant members who are so desperate for mod powers that they won't believe you if you tell them otherwise. I mean, just look at all the people asking for recon. You tell one of them you can't get it, and another five come along asking the same thing, and even then they'll probably think you're joking.

VII Toast is a legendary member. Enough said.

It's obvious you're an alt, so I'm going to end this now. No way someone who's been a member for all of a week would even pay attention to the forum titles.
