“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything
This was all explained pretty well by Achronos in this post. It's just like walking up stairs, once you get to the next level you can stand without falling (provided you have a decent sense of balance, are not intoxicated, or if you are then provided that there is a handrail that you are holding on to).
Wait, that's a terrible example because some staircases are narrow and only a certain amount of people can fit on a single stair at a time. So, maybe it's more like an escalator...no that has the same problem.
Titles are like elevators...aww -blam!- that has the same problem. Alright, alright, I've got it. Titles are like school years, once you complete one, you can move on to the next. You can also fail certain years and then you have to repeat a year. Subsequently, you can graduate. Then you are at a certain level and can go on in life from there.
