"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

It it possible to maintain my Mythic by just posting in groups? Sometimes I just don't feel like posting in the mains.
I wouldn't bank on it, but maybe, it's worth a try. And, if I happen to steal your Mythix... well.... <3

Is it even possible to take someone else's base title? I thought that if you gain enough trust points, the title is yours to keep unless you get banned/warned or become inactive.

I hear it could be possible to maintain mythic by merely signing in every month, depending on the situation.
Posted by: Kickimanjaro
Really? It must take longer than the 3-4 (or 2-3) years, or at least so I would think.
Absolutely, if such a thing existed. I would presume it'd be ten or more years.

Well technically people can "steal" your base title. If they get above you in trust points, you can lose it for no reason, and someone else will have it.

So you're basically saying that there's a title cap for each base title? I thought that this was demolished a while ago.

I thought that this was disproved by Achronos in a post a while back. Is that not the case?

I'm not sure...

I also thought only a limited number of people could have Mythic?

I think I remember reading something like that, there being a title cap or something. Probably explain why I haven't regained Mythic after being warned over a month ago.

The rating isn't relative to every other user anymore, it is a fixed scale, i.e., get X trust, get A title, get Y trust, get B title, etc.

Titles used to be relative to other users' titles, but not anymore (apparently).

If inactive is only posting a few times every day for 3 days... then yes I went "inactive" and lost my Mythic yesterday.

Okay, the post that Achronos posted was in 2008. Has there ever been a mention of that changing since then?

Not to my knowledge, but it would make sense to me if there was a cap to the amount of Mythic members that could "exist" at the same time.

I'm not very omniscient. Check the original post, for further information. I might do it later, but I'm feeling pretty lazy right now.

Dang it... that's why I asked the question. I guess I'll do it myself, but I highly doubt that it has changed since then.

So far I haven't found anything that contradicts what Achronos said in 2008, but I'll keep looking for a little while longer.

I might revisit those posts, to get a fuller sense of the title system to better answer peoples questions.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

Come onnnnnn Mythic! Not today, but definitely tomorrow. I can taste it in the air.

I think you're getting a little greedy. Shoot for Forum ninja or Bungie.net Superuser. More likely.

Yeah, I'm done looking through thousands of posts... for now. It's however good to know more about the title system though.

I don't like to brag, but word on the street is that I'm going to Bungie.net Supuser this time next week. That is why I'm expecting my blue bar in the next couple of hours.
