“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything
All this reminiscing of a time long gone got me thinking, about reminiscing, and...well, I ended up doing a little Google-Fu. I found it interesting and felt like sharing.
I wanted to find my earliest posts on Bungie.net, and as I couldn't find the posts by my old account as it's since been deleted, I worked with Kickimanjaro. So, search for:site:bungie.net "insert your username here"Now you will see everything involving your username on Bungie.net, that's pretty cool to begin with (at least I thought so, and I was impressed that there were nearly 14,000 results).
Here's where it get's tricky. Okay, I lied. On the left side, click on "Show search tools" and next click on "Custom range." From here, just type in the year you joined Bungie.net, and then click "Search."
Now you will see a short list of results but we're not done yet, next you'll want to click on "Sorted by date" on the left hand site. So we now have a chronological list of your activity on Bungie.net (Isn't the Internet awesome? Oh and by the way, Big Brother knows all about this.). So, if you want to see your earliest post, just go to the last page of results on Google.
I'd think you should be able to change the sort order, but I'm incredibly tired and can't find it, so if you can, let me know.
Anyway, anyone else think this was cool or am I just a crazy person?
EDIT: I just realized I didn't specifically say to use Google. To me "search" and "Google" are synonyms.
EDIT2: I just realized that with the way the Community forum has been going lately, this post could likely have been a thread. meh
