Any idea how many posts it takes to get intrepid/fabled?

Well, my guess is about 700. Fabled seems to be random, as I got it one post after I got Intrepid.
Really? 1 post?

And I expect its way more than 700. Maybe 1,500 at least. I expect private group posts are counted somehow too. Unless, ooh now thats a thought. What if Fabled and Intrepid were different;

Intrepid - High post count in the main forums
Fabled - High Post count in the main forums and private groups?

Just an idea?
That seems quite possible. I'd propose we test it, however that would involve creating another account to spam the main forums which I would be against, testing in groups would be fine though.

Anyway, I think this makes sense as if you compare it to the ban-related prefixes, we start with Honorable, which is no bans or warnings in a year (now, I don't believe that's true, I think it's just no bans...but whatever) and then we move on to Noble, which is no bans in a year while being active for two, then they jump up to Exalted which is no bans or warnings in three years. Each one is increasingly more specific, so it would make sense if the same went for the post-related prefixes.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Yes, I got it exactly one post after Intrepid. I also got Legendary one day after getting Heroic. And yes, as I am quite sure its 700, as I'm pretty sure I never got 1,000+ posts.

Yup, and it would clear up why some people get Fabled much quicker than others, for example I got Fabled like a month or two after Intrepid. I wasn't posting much either.

I do not object to a test, however testing only in groups does not give us a 100% guarantee that it will be equivalent to the main forums. There could also be a different "weight" for posts in groups, also you have to consider the difference between creating a thread and replying to a thread. We would have to show the stipulation in the statistic.

Oh good lord, statistics. -blam!- it, I don't want to have anything more to do with statistics than I have to. I do believe, however, that activity in groups would have a lesser affect on titles, perhaps a .75 scaling or maybe even .5.

Yeah I expect so, maybe around 15% - 35% anywho, I don't want to know how many posts it takes to get the prefix's (Intrepid and Fabled) but how they are gained.

I've been banned and warned several times, I don't expect to see Heroic for at least a year.

That does sound about right, but it all depends on how many times you were banned/warned and how long the bans were.

Intrepid (and fabled) do not just leave for no reason. You must've done something. Did you get banned?

Is it just me, or has the title system been acting up lately? It seems as if users are randomly losing their titles more frequently.

I'm not sure.

A lot of people loose their title for no reason.

I have noticed it as well. As I have said in a post from Title Talk, I believe it is for a certain reason, it is just a guess though.

Here is part of what I said:
Taking this into account, my current theory for mass jumps or falls in peoples member titles are from minor tweaks in the system. While the mass jumps, in some cases, may be just a coincidence that multiple members went up or down in that same day, I would only assume that at this time before the release of "The New Hawtness" Achronos may want to make some tweaks to the algorithms for assigning titles, and that might be what we are seeing in action.

Does anybody think that this could be a possibility?
