Any idea how many posts it takes to get intrepid/fabled?
Well, my guess is about 700. Fabled seems to be random, as I got it one post after I got Intrepid.Really? 1 post?
And I expect its way more than 700. Maybe 1,500 at least. I expect private group posts are counted somehow too. Unless, ooh now thats a thought. What if Fabled and Intrepid were different;
Intrepid - High post count in the main forums
Fabled - High Post count in the main forums and private groups?
Just an idea?That seems quite possible. I'd propose we test it, however that would involve creating another account to spam the main forums which I would be against, testing in groups would be fine though.
Anyway, I think this makes sense as if you compare it to the ban-related prefixes, we start with Honorable, which is no bans or warnings in a year (now, I don't believe that's true, I think it's just no bans...but whatever) and then we move on to Noble, which is no bans in a year while being active for two, then they jump up to Exalted which is no bans or warnings in three years. Each one is increasingly more specific, so it would make sense if the same went for the post-related prefixes.
I do not object to a test, however testing only in groups does not give us a 100% guarantee that it will be equivalent to the main forums. There could also be a different "weight" for posts in groups, also you have to consider the difference between creating a thread and replying to a thread. We would have to show the stipulation in the statistic. Oh good lord, statistics. -blam!- it, I don't want to have anything more to do with statistics than I have to. I do believe, however, that activity in groups would have a lesser affect on titles, perhaps a .75 scaling or maybe even .5.
