Haha, saying you're Mythic is one thing. But exalted? :D

Are you guys being sarcastic? Cuz I'm a Mythic.

This is very true.

Fine, maybe not exalted. Fabled?

I could buy that.

But hopefully you'll prove me wrong about that Exalted thing.

We can use this as an experiment, everyone.

If I get my Intrepid back within a few weeks to a month, we can assume that once my trust rating goes above zero -- that is, isn't negative -- you get prefixes back.

"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."

Perhaps it goes by days? So in around 70 days you'll regain a title or prefix. That would confirm the 3-month theory.

I must be missing something, but it seems that you have Intrepid right now.

Oh. Sweet, ahah!

I didn't have it yesterday.

So then maybe your theory is correct.

  • 03.14.2012 11:12 PM PDT

Do you think it moves that fast? +75 points in one day?

D-baby (that's what I'm gonna call Duardo from now on), I PMed you.

So then maybe your theory is correct.

Just as plausible as before, in my opinion. And isn't it Count Basie's idea?

Er...

It makes sense as you're coming off of a ban and Achronos has dropped a number for comparison.

Yeah, sorry. My fault.

Considering that Achronos has said in the past that the Max trust rating is a 5 digit number, I don't think 75 is very much. A fluctuation of that amount, especially during a ban recovery, and at the low number that you were at, seems very plausible.

It wasn't a theory or idea, it was a fact that I proved with a link.

Could you please drop the link again then? I don't remember Achronos saying that prefixes are depended on trust rating, and there are enough of his posts saying the opposite for me to be convinced.

Prefixes aren't dependent on trust rating...they're computed seperately. But (for the 5th or so time, now) if you have negative trust, you lose your prefix.

Achronos, at "02.06.2009 12:18 PM PDT" said that his trust rating was 9142; and at "02.06.2009 3:57 PM PDT", he said a user named Rampancy had a number of 655.

  • 03.14.2012 11:37 PM PDT

God, I love you Blinkula. Such a winner.

EDIT: @Izak: Good God, that means I'm terrible. Achronos's trust rating has probably gone up since then.

We can never really know, though; Achronos said it isn't a linear algorithm and that there's a modifier of some kind.

Fifth time? Well, thank's for linking it then. This is more than merely conclusive or theory, you were right.

except if you get banned or have a negative trust value for whatever reason, in which case your prefix is cleared.

  • 03.14.2012 11:44 PM PDT

That means I went up by at least 74 overnight, then?

EDIT: I must've just got right before you guys noticed; Bungie.me hasn't even updated yet. Or maybe it happened at the beginning of yesterday and took that long to start showing up or something.

I'm just wondering, but was there even any clear confirmation that the number in Urk's picture had your trust in it?

And yes, basically, if it was your trust rating.

Confirm 100%? No. However, we saw a pink number with a t and then a number, and someone proposed that it was a trust rating. I was pretty skeptical, but I knew urk was a superuser so I humored the idea and checked the forums' stylesheets. I was able to find a style, which would only apply to span elements inside an li element with a class of "date" which is inside a div element with a class of "post-actions", and that span has to have a class of "trust". Read this.
