how do i link my gamertag to my Bnet file?????

Though this would be the wrong thread to ask, I will answer:

You must sign into Bungie.net with the Windows Live ID account you have attached to your gamertag. So if your current Bungie.net profile uses the same email as your gamertag then you will be set.

In the upper right corner it should say "Link Your Gamertag" or something of the sort. Simply click that and it should link just fine.

You know Duardo, I don't think posts have anything to do with the titles. I created this account sometime in 2006 and I've only posted 30 times (31 with this post) and I'm a regular member.

Supporting Bungie for 11 years and counting.
Halo 3 Beta Tester (Friends and Family Invite)
Halo: Reach Beta Tester (Friends and Family Invite)
CompoundIntelligence / Ascendant Justice / High Impact Halo
Praetoria Guard / The Digital Set / Rooster Teeth Productions

Good overview of the system indeed. Has there been any new Forum Ninja promotions since Halo 3 came out?

Well there's a theory that it has to do with how often one logs in. Could be true...

MYTHIC MEMBER
* These members are those members who have gained a certain amount of trust throughout their Bnet life. Usually this is for the members who have been here a while, haven't received many warnings (if any) or bans (if any). There are more than likely other factors as well (but we'll never know). Usually they have been here longer than "Legendary Members" (possibly by two or more years).
*Their title bar color is blue.
There are currently 200 "Mythic Members" as of February 14, 2008. This is the highest title that a member can receive without becoming a Webcam MVP, Theme Master, or Forum Ninja, which leads me to...

WEBCAM MVP
* Webcam MVPs are members who participated in Bungie.net's webcam games over the Summer of 2007 and managed to win the game on Monday. Mr Hand/Mr Hand 2 was the Bungie employee in charge of it. There are very few Webcam MVPs.
*Depending on what title they are, their bar is also be that color.

THEME MASTER
* Theme Masters are Bungie.net members who have created (and submitted) a theme for groups to use that was accepted by the Bnet Web Team. These members are honored with a custom avatar. There are very few Theme Masters.
*Depending on what title they are, their bar is also be that color.

FORUM NINJA
* The highest possible title given out to a member. These members are moderators of the website, and have special "powers" to lock, pin, and delete threads, as well as many other things. You cannot ask to become a moderator, because then you will never become one. They will ask you. Master Forum Ninjas have a few more "powers" than a regular Forum Ninja, but that's not to be discussed. Ever.
*Their title bar color is a dark orange with a light-orange highlight around it.

Wow thanks for the information Duardo! I'm going to assume mine is legit because I have been here since before Halo 2 I believe...and I have never had any trouble with the forum staff as far as I can remember! :D

Hey Durado, is there any reason I went from a Legendary member on Sunday back to a Heroic member today?

Did I get promoted to soon or become glitched?

The only ones who know about this are the webcam staff...so who knows. :/

Wheelman for hire

Well, this thread helped me understand these titles and the BS that ensues. Unfortunatly for me, I've lost my "Heroic" status due to 1 warning and 1 ban (unrelated to the warning). That's it, 1 of each, and I've been a member since 2005. Almost 3 years, and that's all it takes to lose a title? Nice. Real nice...

AGAIN AWSOME! But what are bar colors?

  • 02.21.2008 9:43 PM PDT

I always hated you the most.
My Message Policy

You see how yours is black where it says Member? Thats the bar color. It changes depending on your rank here. Pretty cool I think.

  • 02.21.2008 10:01 PM PDT

Why give ranks out? you know I hate being rated its not like it matters it only a forum posting rank the more you post and stay out of toruble right? ive been banned 3,4,5,times and only cause i spoke my mind or i put in the wrong forum .basically bungie take away my rank in posting im tired of being ranked up with unknowns that i will never meet so go ahead take it away im sure i can find some other place to post without these imbecile rankings. really tired of this.

For the Heroic, Legendary, and Mythic status I Believe you have to be here for a certain amount of time. The last time I was here was January and I was Heroic Member. Now 2 days past my 2 B.net Reg-Day I am Legendary.

Here it goes:

Heroic - 1 Year

Legendary - 2 Year

Mythic - 3+ Years considering you are since 2004.

MEMBER
* This is the basic title given to all members who register here at Bungie.net. The vast majority of Bnet members hold this title.
* Their title bar color is a dark grey.

HEROIC MEMBER
* These members have gained a certain amount of trust throughout their Bnet life. Usually this is for the members who have been here a while, haven't received many warnings (if any) or bans (if any). There are more than likely other factors as well (but we'll never know).

*There are currently around 12000 Heroic Members as of February 14, 2008.
*70000 members lost their "Heroic" status after a bug was fixed.
*Their title bar color is grey.

LEGENDARY MEMBER
* Legendary Members are those members who have gained a certain amount of trust throughout their Bnet life. Usually this is for the members who have been here a while, haven't received many warnings (if any) or bans (if any). There are more than likely other factors as well (but we'll never know). Usually they have been here longer than "Heroic Members." There are currently 1736 "Legendary Members" as of February 5, 2008.
*Their title bar color is a light-grey.

Jon Cable is sporting a Bungie Employee title, so you might want to add that to that venerable list of yours.

Halo 1 > Halo 2 > Halo 3

Only around 200 Mythic Members? I feel honored then.

I've been around on these forums for, at least, 3 years. However, I have made posts on this site complaining about Halo 2 in the past. Yet, I always tried to bring up things that could be done to fix whatever was bothering me. So, a word to the wise. If you're going to complain about the game, make sure you have enough evidence to back it up and come up with ideas that might make it better. Don't just come on here complaining about how Halo 3 sucks and all that without making any comments on how Bungie could make it better.

Remember, "Be constructive, not destructive." ; )

haha exactly...ive done the same thing. constructive criticism is a good thing...and besides, what better way to improve your product, then to get feedback straight from the consumer?
