Yes, say I get banned three or four years from now, since I've never been banned before, and I assume my trust would be fairly high, it's entirely possible that I wouldn't loose my base title. That's what I was thinking..I'll just use some hypothetical numbers here: If Mythic title demands a trust number of 1000, is it possible to get that number over 1000 so that, if you receive a ban, you don't lose your title? You can absolutely receive more trust points than required for a base title, but there is a five digit maximum, and even that amount of trust is basically impossible to reach, due to the strictness of the metrics required to achieve it.
How much would one warning or ban affect that number?Depends on the strictness of the moderation. A warning has a relatively small effect on trust, which is why it's possible to get a warning while keeping your title.
But bans are very detrimental. While you're banned, you receive a variably massive subtraction of trust. I don't quite remember how bad it gets (like I said, I've never been banned before), so I can't securely say if it's possible to receive any sort of ban with no effect to your base title. But I know that after your ban, the massive subtraction makes an initial drop, then starts to slowly disappear, eventually (after a long amount of time) leaving your trust like it would if you've merely stopped posting for a little.
So if Legendary demands 800 and you have 989, you could keep the Legendary?Meh... possibly? Sorry, I just don't really pay attention to the effects of other users' bans. A Legendary Member probably couldn't get anything longer than a week, at least, without loosing the title. But I'm not even sure a long time Mythic Member could take a ban without flickering. So I'd say it's safe to presume bans always mess with the title, a little, at least, but that it's possible to brush off a warning.
Am I even looking at this right? Am I making any kind of sense?Well, I would think Mythic taking 32000 trust points, Legendary 15000, and Heroic 7000, would be a bit closer to the real deal... but other than that, you don't seem to be looking at this the wrong way.
And even when it comes to Honorable or Noble, if you receive a minor enough warning or ban, you can keep them (but that doesn't seem to happen with Exalted).Really? I thought there's no way you would keep the Noble or Honorable, because they demand one year without bans or warning.Well, the requirements specified in the original post are only rough estimations based on user collected information; specifically, the moderation related prefixes are most accurate (100%, I believe) for users with no warnings or bans.
The moderation related prefixes have variable layers to them, kind of like trust rating, but with all the metrics defined- time and severity. For example, Exalted is very strict. You sneeze in authority's general direction, and you loose it. But if it was only a sneeze, the system will probably give it back to you much sooner than a whole three years, and will probably only downgrade you to Noble.
