This is Kinda like ranks in Halo 3.

everybody wanting to be something different.
what's wrong with being a member. only difference is that the other person's been here longer.or in Halo 3 they played a lot better. now the employees have a reason to shine with their different colors is because they can. i mean they work really hard and they program it.
lol, but that's all i'm saying.

Read my OP. Tom117 has a good theory on it, and I agree with it.

Bungie doesn't see gamers any more. They see walking credit cards.

I disagree with the no warnings/bannings.
I have personally been banned 3 times now.

Eh, I guess.
I see it as for a rule to be true, it has to have and exception.

Regarding Tom's theory about the unexpected demotions--it doesn't really add up. I would assume that the number of Mythic members would be proportional to the total population of the site. For example, the population now is 1 million or so. There are 200 Mythic members. Wouldn't it make sense if for every 5000 members that came to the site, one Mythic slot appeared?

Hello.

I think that certian members will bounce in between titles. I just think that is how the trust system operates. I am not exactly sure.

I just don't think that somebody should have to have their title bumped down when they haven't done anything wrong. Obviously, that person had the title before because they deserved it and now it just gets taken away based on who knows what.

Кланяються мені!

i personaly don't believe there is a max amount of any user trust rating. I think those that lose or gain trust have done something different. There is obviously more to the system than meets the eye...some of which we may never know

Now that you've said that, you probably won't get Recon. It's a special privilege awarded to those who do something that pleases Bungie--the definition doesn't get any more specific.

Asking about Recon (or, even worse, asking for it) will almost certainly ensure that you won't get it. It's not for those who try to obtain it, it's for those who do something that actually makes them worthy of getting it. But, of course, if you become a Forum Ninja or get hired by Bungie, you'll get the armor. Is it worth it, though?

So then they're demoting people because they want to make it even? I just got demoted to member so I'm just wondering because I also got a warning, but really I don't mind.

Hello.

Your trust is usally determined by how long you have been here and warnings/bans. There are other factors that the community does not know about.

Anyone else notice there have been a lot more Heroic members with less time on the forum than usual? It took me over a year to finally get it, and I saw a guy the other day who joined November 2007 and had it all ready! (and yes I mean recently not when the forum was messing up).

Your B.net account dates back to 10/4/2007.

I think groups have more of an effect than people think. Things like having elevated permissions in a group can drastically raise your title.

I am not saying this because I want it, it's just a question
If you were a forum ninja will they have recon armour?

Remember, trust is calculated daily, and the maximum value possible changes every day too. Since the titles are based on the percentage your trust value is compared to the maximum value, it can easily change if the max value goes up further than you go up in the intervening time, even if you haven't had any negative items against you.

In other words, no the system isn't buggy, stop asking why your title changed, I'm not going to tell you.

Yup, forum ninjas get recon armour.
