Didn't Duardo make this??

Yes haha. Surprisingly the same this is happening to me as Guitarplayer. I haven't been posting much if at all and I've kept my Legendary. The system has liked me alot lately :)

Interesting. Either the system hates me or it's Achronos, but lately I post a ton and I actually lose my tittle. :(

There are other things besides just posting, that go into consideration.

Just play nice and you might get promoted when you least expect it.

Anyone else ever wonder what it's like for two elcor to do the nasty?

"Tentatively excited: Oh. Oh. Oh. Right there."

Yeah me neither.

I don't know how much posting one would consider "active". I have consistently stayed at Legendary Member, and then Exalted Legendary when the prefixes were introduced. And I only post roughly 5 times a day here and there. And all this has been over the course of a few years.

I was a Mythic in my first, or second year can't remember. Then I got bumped down when they started cracking down on the number of Mythics.

This is very strange info that you have sampled, and it is completely in contradiction to the original post in many ways. I'm not sure the OP really has any idea or is even close to the reason people get promoted or demoted.

My case is a perfect example. I have been an active member for over 4 years! With zero bans/warnings. Heroic, by his definition, makes zero sense.

Also there is no rhyme or reason to my demotion as well.

There are different kinds of activity. Your "Exalted" prefix denotes that you haven't had bans and warnings, but bans and warnings don't decrease your title, they just add negative trust. When that negative trust goes away, you are returned to your previous trust and just start over from that point again.

Titles themselves, however, fluctuate based upon activity, if your gamertag is linked or unlinked, and age. But you must remember that there are different kinds of activity, and if you slack at one end of the spectrum, your title will remain low for quite some time. Your low point, in essence, is what I have been calling the "trust trigger" all along. It holds back title progression, like a huge weight dragging down otherwise strong areas. By "completing your trust trigger", as I have said in the past, you increase the activity you need to keep your spectrum balanced, and one end of it will not drag you down any longer.
Basically what Snakie said.

I never said in the OP that it was 100% accurate, I said "approximiately," which means that it's close but not quite accurate.

The system is based on activity. How many times you sign in, how many times you post/create threads, Gamertag linking/unlinking, groups your in, etc.

You're an Exalted Legendary Member now, so you've had no bans/warnings for about 3 years, which is true. Legendary fits you, since you aren't as active as many Mythics. Looking at your post history, for example, I see that you post a lot, but then for a few days up to a week, nothing at all.

I'm assuming that activity is a high factor in your title.

helpful and a little confusing at the same time, how many posts are considered INTREPID, and how do you get the rank of forum ninja??

I guess you can say that a lot of posts make you intrepid, no body knows a value but aracnos.

To become a Forum Ninja you have to be supa ossim, it's not something you gain in the same format as all the other titles.

I who walk alone in this world wrapped in the arms of the past not knowing what lies ahead of me. What am I? A soulless being to be beaten by the rage of those who hate me? Cutting my way past hopes and dreams. Sit in the window sill as I do every day and night resignations on my slate of who I am and what is left behind. Concealed in the words that chases my every thought. I who walk alone in this world…I am broken

the forum ninja title is reserved for people who have been here a while and have gained the trust from the B.net over lord once chosen this person will be taken into a dark room a beat with a wet noddle for 7 days and when he emerges he will have the status of forum ninja!!!

Confusing only because we don't have any specifics. It's actually simple. What we do know is that titles are given based on participation in bungie activities. Post in the forums and don't break rules, participate and post in private groups, link your gamertag, and play Halo 3 and/or ODST. What else can you do? Don't sweat it too much. Do things as much as you want, and let the chips fall where they may. It's all for a goof anyway.

Here's something I find interesting:

So One day I get my Mythichood, and within 24 hours, I lose it. I had no warnings, I was just as active as I had always been, etc. So a few months later I still haven't gotten my Mythichood back, and I sell my xbox. I then go about five months without posting at all. I come back a few weeks ago and within a few days, BAM! I'm a mythic man again. I would have thought it would be ages until I got it back since I hadn't logged on for awhile, but it wasn't.

Hope this can add to the info you're collecting.

It appears that it doesn't matter how inactive you were, all that steps aside the moment someone starts to post again.

That's weird. Well, he did join in 2001. It probably has something to do with his account age.

Trust points must deplete rather slowly when a member is inactive. That member in particular must have had so many trust points that they still had enough left over for Heroic even after 2 months of inactivity. Impressive, and great find!

That was similar to me. I left for 5 months and when I came back, I was still an exalted Legendary member, as when I left (unless it changed from absent to exalted the instant I signed in).

How do you find your PPD?

How do you find your PPD?

Math or a script. Your preference.

For those of you who can grasp the deep meaning of the question I asked, it still remains unclarified.

You can download a script that parses back through your recent posts page. It then does some math and bam! PPD.

Or you could do it yourself by figuring out how many days ago your first post on the recent post page was and dividing 300 by that day amount. Just a sec, I'll do it for you...
4/13/09-10/16/09=186 days
