Technically speaking the priority order in the OP is wrong. Absent takes priority over every other prefix, above Exalted.Interesting. You make a very good observation. However, what if Reig doesn't have a prefix? Would the "Absent" prefix really go over another one then?
could make a test account..
Reiginko had the Elder prefix, he was one of the first to have it, before he became inactive.
The Absent prefix does seem to take priority over the others, but it's rather circumstantial. I would imagine that it is at the bottom of the priority list because it's requirements to obtain are so different from the others. Since it behaves so differently than the other prefixes, I would argue that its listing on the priority chart doesn't seem to hold any significance... It's almost in a different class.
Just to expand on this theory, another interesting thing about the Absent prefix is that it seems to be the only prefix that an individual can have while simultaneously being blacklisted. Example.
This just reinforces my stance that the Absent prefix is of a different class than the other prefixes, and that its place on the priority list doesn't really hold much significance.
That's a very good point, but I think it relates more towards that Prefixes are revoked because of a ban, so the only prefix you can earn is the "Absent" one, due to forced lack of posting/activity.
You just said it yourself. The Absent prefix works very differently than the others.
All of the other prefixes have positive meanings and require the individual to behave in a positive manner in order to achieve. The Absent prefix is the only one that has a somewhat negative meaning, and it is the only one that doesn't require good behavior in order to achieve (even banned members can get it).
My argument is that the Absent prefix doesn't belong on the priority list at all because it is so different. In some cases it completely overrides the highest priority prefixes, and in other cases it gets completely overridden by the lowest. It's like comparing apples and oranges.
