Why do you have to wait 2 years or a other year to become a mythic member by the way.

It's a lot like the H2 vs. H3 ranking system. If you make a high rank easily accessible, everyone gets it and nobody cares anymore. It doesn't prove anything. However, the forum ranking system is based both off experience (time spent) and skill and consistency (avoiding being an idiot and getting yourself banned). They didn't even have ranks until relatively recently.

It's a nice addition, as it allows people to know who's been here longer. While higher ranking people may not necessarily be more informed on issues, it's a good indicator as to who to trust if you have to pick between two opposing posts. If the difference in ranks was separated by four weeks as opposed to four years, the ranks wouldn't be as reputable.

Can't be too careful with your company. I can feel the devil walking next to me.

I'm seeing more than one random rank up date, and not as many on the 31/1 of the months. I think that the system is regulating itself out now.

I was banned 3 times in my first year here and yet i gained the honorable prefix within that time!!
Hmmm. That is weird. The question is, will you get Noble on your second "birthday"?

I'm an honorable member and I've been banned 3 times I believe. I've been on B.net for 2 years and I'm still an honorable, so I doubt he'd get noble by 2 years, unless it's just me who is unlucky...

Everything is interesting if you go into it deeply enough.

Titles don't just change the first of the month, they change all the time. For example, I looked at one thread, saw a user with a Legendary title, went to another thread, and the same user had bumped up to Mythic.

The first of the month seems to be when previously banned users lose the negativity of their ban. So while you will see quite a few members going up (and probably a few getting bumped down by the members going up), you're also going to see people changing titles every day.

HATERS GONNA' HATE

Man... Within a week, I've gone all the way to Legendary... This system is pretty random, but I'm not complaining.

I see people getting bumped up to Heroic like everyday.

When enlightenment is the question. The Answer is Pain.
When Ignorance is the problem. The Answer is Blood.
When love is absent. Hatred fills the void.

Im a bit confused, Ive just been demoted from Legendary to Heroic, Im not sure why?

I'm a little annoyed because I know I meet the requirements for it, and for the last week or so, I was one. So please someone explain to me why this as happened?

Your activity isn't the only input as to what your title will be any given day, meaning that other members within your tier have a slight effect on your title depending on their activity level. If you have been consistently active, yet your title still went down, it's probably due to this element of the title system.

I see, that's annoying, having your title depend on the activity of others in the same tier....Well I hope it returns to normal soon...

I just recovered from a 3 day ban. Back to Member from Veteran Legendary.

Let's see how long it takes to progress.

it all depends on activity as well..

I am a pharmaceutical scientist. I received my Masters degree in Pharmaceutics from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2010, after working as a Pharmacist for 4 years. I currently work in King of Prussia, PA, and focus on the analytical chemistry of small molecule APIs. My clients include some of the most well known big pharma companies in the world.

Does anyone know if posting in multiple forums has any effect on member titles/ranks? My theory being that a user may be promoted based partially on the versatility of their posts (ex. posting in H3, H:CE, Community, etc). Just a thought, don't know if it's been considered by anyone.

I don't believe Honorable, Noble, or Exalted rely on activity or how well you post. For example: This account has never posted on a public or private forum. Notice the Honorable.

Here is an account with only 5 posts, and I know it changed from a Noble Member to an Exalted Member on its third birthday.

That, in my opinion, is proof that Honorable, Noble, and Exalted have nothing to do with activity (other than being active enough to not have your account deleted).

Those three do not, they have to do with not having received any warnings or bans in 1-2-3 years.

That is a possibility, but I doubt it. I don't think the system cares where you post or how long your posts are, simply because it would be relatively difficult to implement a system that records those variables, rather than just recording whenever a user hits the "submit" button.
