My third montage!

I'm not sure if this has been suggested (I really don't want to read through 200+ pages) I wonder if responding to threads that get locked some how effect our titles?

There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

I doubt it. Threads get locked for different reasons. It could be because it deteriorated through no fault of you or the OP. You would need to get warned for some sort of affect on your title.

Hmm, if his title didnt go down then that puts the warnings into question, I still think that warnings effect title, but if not then it would simply be a matter of activity, and other things which would effect a members title.
Nah, there's no question. I got a warning and went down imediately the next time I signed in.
Since I didn't rank down when I got warned (I was just Honorable Member), I'm thinking there's a trust system in the Honorable/Intrepid/etc prefixes that acts like a scale. Perhaps a warning would slice off a large, set amount of "trust", that wouldn't automatically demote you, but would take off such a large amount that you'd need a lot of "built-up" trust to maintain the prefix.

There seems to be an agreement that those prefixes are automatically determined based on a lack of bans/warnings or super-high post count, but I'm wondering also if you only get demoted from that title based solely on a moderators discretion. There doesn't seem to be any way to lose the Honorable-type prefix unless you are warned/banned, and since I was warned and did not lose it, then perhaps my theory is somewhat correct.

On a side note, I'm wondering if the Heroic/Legendary/Mythic system has been altered slightly. There's a forum-goer who basically lives on the Flood forum, and I've seen him go from being a blacklisted Member, to Mythic Member within about 2 months. I'm not quite a fan of his, but I'm shocked to see how fast he made the jump, especially with no second prefix (Honorable, etc.)

What I find confusing is the Heroic, Legendary, Mythic, Fabled and so on are based off time right? So how is possible to loose that with no bans or warnings? I made Heroic first (I think) then honorable (Heroic Honorable member) but then for the past two weeks I've dropped Heroic twice? I'm not really bother by it other just being generally confused about about the system.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

This has been bothering me for a while.

If somebody has a prefix of, say honorable, and they are inactive for the 2 months to make them absent, will their title go down to absent, or stay at honorable?

I assume they are considered absent until activity on their account is noticed, then the honorable title would come back. I have a second account that I don't use and I think I posted once on it a long while back. I accidentally logged in under the other account months after creating it and it held the honorable prefix.

Im not sure, I was once inactive for five months (roughly) I came back on and there was no indication of me ever having had the absent prefix on my title.

Im sure a member would have to be absent for a much longer period of time than 2 or even 5 months for it to apply.

I don't think that you, by yourself, would be able to know if you ever had the Absent prefix since you would only achieve it by being absent, and you would immediately loose it once you logged back in. You would probably need another account or a friend to know if you gained the Absent prefix.

Yeah I know, I assumed that if I were to log back on the system wouldnt automatically upgrade me to whatever prefix I had before I was absent. thats what I meant by me not seeing anything that would have indicated it....ahh well.
