Well, I'm pretty sure you never had a thirty-day ban.
Yeah, you really gotta get under someone's skin for that one.

Shishka banned me for posting /thread.
But hey, he had a reason but I wish it was just a two-week ban.
Stupid jerk-face.

Lol.

There have been some great bans back in the day....

The Flood usually has some good ones.

When enlightenment is the question. The Answer is Pain.
When Ignorance is the problem. The Answer is Blood.
When love is absent. Hatred fills the void.

So warnings are pretty easy to recover from?
I hope so, I've had 3 that make me feel some-what idiotic.

Well warnings are easier to recover from I think, but I have yet to return to my proper title, must keep at it.

What's up? You can call me Phil. I love to play Battlefield 3!

I've never been warned, just banned. I wonder if that affects anything?

I was warned the other day by a moderator and yet I still have my "Noble" prefix. Odd.

I noticed you didn't have your Heroic.

I have never been banned, but I have been warned, twice.

For the ban history related prefixes, warnings probably affect them varying on how high they are up on the priority list. For example, it may take only one warning to lose the Exalted prefix, two warnings to lose Noble, and so forth. I doubt it works that cleanly, but it seems to operate on those rules to an extent.
Well, we know Honorable seems to take 365 days to earn, Noble takes 730, and Exalted 1095 (assuming you've never been banned before). So, what if a warning "wipes" a certain amount of days from your record? Say you were here for 700 days, and get a warning. Suppose the warning knocks off 100 days, putting you at 600. You're still Honorable, but it will take 100 extra days to get Noble.

Just a thought. And the whole earning it after you've been banned business makes it more confusing.
Warnings/Bans as an artificial time reduction to one's profile age... That's actually not that crazy of a theory. You're right though, the qualifications for the ban related prefixes get sooo confusing once a user has been banned. I've been trying to find a pattern, but I haven't been very successful since you have to be pretty accurate with your observations (figuring out the exact date of when a user was banned, keeping track of their title, etc.) and I'm not that dedicated. I mainly just like to sit back and watch while taking notes.

Perhaps you are on the right track though with your theory, It's just that the system is so dynamic it makes it really hard to distinguish the trends from the medium. For example, figuring out how the titles work is like trying to measure the maximum speed of a boat in a body of water whose current is constantly changing direction and magnitude. The dynamic medium complicates the variable you are trying to isolate and observe, so there is always an uncertainty factor to consider when making theories and predictions. It's challenging, and we will never know 100% how the system works, but I guess that's what makes it fun. ^_^

I think its a month or two for it to come back after a warning.

That's ridiculous! I think I only have a public forum PPD of around 1.2...

Why are people so concerned with their PPD lately? The titles seem to be a lot more dependent upon account age than PPD anyway.

What does PPD even stand for?

Not to discourage posting, but bans, warnings, and account age seem to be the biggest factors in title status. If you want your title, posting 200 times a day isn't the best way to get it. I recommend you stay consistent (but not crazy), stay active, and wait. Posting inside the rules helps, too.

That has to be impossible - I don't even troll/spam the forums.

In a way, but some people have reason to believe that if you're a lower title, with a high PPD, then it prevents you from going up in title because of a spam filter. It's only speculation, but I see the reason in it.

Eh, I'm not too hype about the title anymore - posting on the forums is just what I do. I don't come here to have a higher title.

'Fraid not. Just today you've made just about 115 posts. Your entire post history only extends back to last Thursday.

So, if I don't post for a single-day, I'll be okay?

I just checked. You posted 110 times so far today alone, not counting any posting done within private groups...

EDIT: Screecherz beat me to it!
