Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Ugh...

First on a BWU.. yeah, I'm cool.

ODST;MYTHIC Screenshot winner! One of the first to get their hands on the mythic map pack.

I got legendary from member like a week ago, then it went to heroic for a day, and now I am legendary again...

Can't be too careful with your company. I can feel the devil walking next to me.

Hrmm, with those recent promotions, I seem to have gone down.

That makes sense, since there can only be a certain number of users at each title.

Duardo,
I made a spiffy theme for my group and am now reluctant to even try to submit it because I've now heard that Stosh has accepted little to no themes since themes were created and has totally ignored themes all together. Is this true? Is it possible for my to get my theme accepted for just my group? I don't care much about becoming a Theme Master. Don't get me wrong it would be an awesome accomplishment, but I just want my group to have my custom theme.

PS: Burrito '09
I'll try to catch stosh about accepting themes. In the meantime, no, he won't accept a theme for just one group. If you're wanting that, you should download CAVX's greasemonkey script in Script Central. Also, any questions about greasemonkey or scripts should go in there too.

Yup.
How it used to work when it was first implemented:
Posted by: Achronos
... The number that underlies the title is relative to the rest of the userbase. As in, your title is determined by what your score is in relation to the person with the highest score for that day. So... if the maximum score goes up further than you go up in the same time period (even if you didn't do anything wrong like get a warning or ban), you can easily lose your title.
AndPosted by: Achronos
... Specifically - the system is a relative ranking. That means your ranking changes based on the maximum possible score, as defined by the person with the highest rating that day. So, if the max value changes, your title can change, especially if you're on the borderline between one or more levels...

Now it works this way:
Posted by: Achronos
... The only other thing that's changed with titles is that the math that selects the base title is significantly different, most notably in that it isn't based on a relative maximum anymore, but specific "tiers" (making things a bit less random). A side effect of the changeover is that it will take a little bit for everything to settle, and some people will have a lower base title. There are a lot less mythic/legendary/heroic members than before.

So basically now you are in competition for an elevated title with other members within your tier. My guess is that the tiers are divided based on similar join date, but it could be some other factor. So if you are wondering why your title went up or down, you can always look to see if there was the opposite effect on another member close to your join date.

When enlightenment is the question. The Answer is Pain.
When Ignorance is the problem. The Answer is Blood.
When love is absent. Hatred fills the void.

You know I remember someone mentioning that my title was influenced by other members in my tier...thats a bit of a bother, but oh well.

Oh and JBSpudster, when did you get your Mythic title?

Older members leave, newer members fill the positions.

I believe that the title system works on a percentage system rather than a numbe system. For example only 2% of the community can be Mythic, only 10% on Legendary and 30% on Heroic or something like that.

Last night at around 11 PM Pacific time. I was pretty surprised, but then again there are members who have been here for less time than me who got it before I did. My account turns 3 in the next month, so I am 99.9% sure that I will get the Exalted prefix as well at the beginning of January.

I would say that the percentages are even smaller than that since there are currently over 7.5 million registered accounts (although a good chunk of them are deleted...) and only about 300-400 Mythic members (rough estimate).

What if each title had a set amount of "points" Like say Mythic has 4, Legendary:3, Heroic:2, Normal:1. Now the community only has a set total of numbers based on the number of active members. Then that would explain, why JB went to Mythic, and I dropped. My point went to him. Comments on this idea?

Your theory would make sense with the old title system (pre prefix implementation), but I doubt that we're in the same tier though so I don't think that you were the one that I was competing with.
