What does it matter if he made mythic, it has nothing to do with you.

Wow, a 2007 Mythic. o.O

I don't get why that is odd -- it does say on the first page that you need to be active for 2-3 years...

  • 11.27.2009 12:25 AM PDT

What's up? You can call me Phil. I love to play Battlefield 3!

Really though, I joined in 2007, so it just looks weird to me. I joined in late 2007 though.

Hey -- watch it with the caps; I'll smack 'yo ass.
And, well the title-system is pretty weird from my experience.

Don't get smart with me, Gio. Yes, it's weird, everyone knows that.

o_O Gio? Who the hell is Gio? I'm nerd -- not Gio.
It would also be weird if I got Legendary out-of-the-blue.

I jumped from Member to Legendary Member, then later got Intrepid for a prefix. However, I was a Heroic Member, then I got a warning/ban and went down to Member before the double jump.

Well I guess I better put some pants on.

I feel like I'm gonna break this thing!

The maximum rating is a 5 digit number but not 10,000.
I'm going to make an assumption that it's 12,000 because Achronos' was 9,142 earlier this year, and while the maximum is practically unreachable, I can't imagine it being WAY out of people's reach, and I also assumed it would be a round number (ending in 000). The exact number isn't the point.

At the rating of 665 your title is 'Member' and at 9,152 you are one of the top members.

<1000 = Member
1000 - 2500 = Heroic Member
2500 - 5500 = Legendary Member
5500+ = Mythic Member
Thinking about it, I went from Heroic to Mythic this year, so I no longer think it's exponential. Maybe more like:
<2000 = Member
2000 - 4000 = Heroic Member
4000 - 6000 = Legendary Member
6000+ = Mythic Member

When enlightenment is the question. The Answer is Pain.
When Ignorance is the problem. The Answer is Blood.
When love is absent. Hatred fills the void.

I'm probably around 5,000 according to your hypothesis.
But I'm not losing sleep over getting Mythic, by any means.

I reckon I may get a promotion in the next year or so if I'm lucky.

;D

There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

Well, not anymore. What's interesting to look at is this member's forum activity. His last 300 posts span a year and a half. It really validates the notion that insane post counts are overrated.

Thats a fair and interesting point Papa, i've always said that posting too much per day doesn't help you but posting low for a constant time is better!?

"Find The Bomb?!
Find The Bomb?!
I'm Looking For The Flag!
What The Heck Is Assualt!?"

Being that I've had quite a few bans and one or two extended bans that means I would probably be a mythic if right now I'm still a fabled legendary.

But then again I do more or less "spam" the forums.

Activity helps, but it's just one factor of many.

I think.

Everything is interesting if you go into it deeply enough.

I wouldn't be surprised (actually I'm fairly sure) that the member in question is active in private groups. I've heard of people never posting in the main forums with titles, due to being active in groups.

Either way, the member dropped down to Legendary member, so he's "on the edge."

Also for the trust rating required for a title bit... I don't think that can be right. The titles are "competitive," in that, only a certain number of people can possess a certain main title, right? maybe a percentage of the active population. So the trust required for a title would always be changing, depending on the trust of the least trusted member of the next title.

Remember those numbers can go down due to bans, inactivity, and such. So it's not like every time someone logs in there gains a point in the system. Sort of like what I said. I know I'm tooting my own horn there, but it explains that.

Yeah I have been wondering about this too for a while now. If the titles are competitive, which we know that they are at least to an extent, then a percentage system would seem like it would be more of an accurate representation. However, we already know that the system operates on a numerical point/value scale... Perhaps it is some combination of both percentages and points?

Well all of the crying can stop because he's back down to a Legendary Member. Did he get banned or did his inertness get to him?

He could have been banned because he made this SnipeDown thread in the Community Forum. (I don't know how you could be that stupid.)
