I was not sure. I had heard that people have missed one day and have gone down in title.
I did explain it at the top of the page. ;D

The title system is cool and all. But the main thing it does it makes me wish I had not switched Bnet User accounts a couple years ago. The old one is lost to the void.

I have been posting here for almost as long as Bnet has been around.

Sigh... oh well.

Is what my profile says.

In actuality, it's much longer than that. I'd be hard pressed to find the real date.

But based on what I read in the OP, if I kept my orig account I'd be in the Mythic Senior/Elder category somewhere.

In fact, this account would be considered Mythic if I posted more.

Due to work and school, I can go thru like 3 month spurts where I don't have much time to peruse the interweb.

Woah. Burrito just got banned? Why are all these people with high titles getting banned?!

And I'm about to reach my seventh month of being here on BNet on Tuesday. Hopefully, I get Heroic.

They aren't acting appropriately. Also, if his trust was as high as Top Gun's, then he'll be back up to Mythic, depending on the severity of the ban.

If a ban is reduced, are those trust points gained back?

I had a perma ban reduced to a one month.

Does anyone even read these?

To my understanding, it should.

They would have to be, for a permanent ban doesn't take away X amount of points but takes away all of them. If it did take away X amount some user with an insane amount of trust points could get permanently banned and still retain a title beyond that of a member (I know this is very highly unlikely and close to impossible but we don't know how many trust points higher ups, like Achronos, have).

Now it is possible that I am extremely incorrect and you will remain a member forever.

Let's hope it's the first one.

There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

I'm curious how long the effect of a warning is. Does it work tha same way as a ban? A ban's effect goes away completely after a certain amount of time. Does a warning's effect work that way too?

I think a warning has about 1/2 the effedt of a ban, because you should only be warned once.

So here's a question. Maybe it's already answered in this massive thread, maybe it's not. Maybe somebody from the web team can shed light if not.

So on this account, I have had it since 06. But I have not posted much except in random spurts of a few weeks at a time of being active. This is due to school and my work trying to suck the soul out of me.

So at what point would I upgrade to Mythic or Legendary if I stayed active? Would it involve needing to do anything else? Is it even possible?

Regular positive contribution is rewarded. Sporadic lurking is not. You just have to be consistent with your activity, along with avoiding doing things that will get you banned or warned, and then the system will trust you more.

At what point would you gain an elevated title? That's any body's guess, but as long as you are being consistently active, it shouldn't be too long given how old your account is.

Either it will come back as an effect wavers, or it's a clean slate as far as trust points go. Besides that, trust points aren't the only measurement effecting a member title...

You can dance, but just follow the rules of the dance hall so to speak. Basically just don't break the rules and you will be fine.

Thanks for pointing out Achronos' post. I like getting the chance to see him clear things up.

I'm working toward Mythic still, but it will probably be another year souly due to the fact I've only been on this account since '08. -Actually, I might get it soon, assuming I stay nice and whatnot. I just realized '10 is just around the corner, where my 2 year mark is. :)

I'm a sporadic lurker. Most of my posts these days are in groups. This month I'm averaging 1 PPD in the main forums (with the exception of this post, which pushes me to 15 posts in the 14 days total of this month), and halfway through the month I went from Intrepid to Fabled. So ... there must be some truth that group posts are equal to main forum posts, otherwise I wouldn't be 'promoted', but instead I'd drop a prefix or something along those lines from not being crazy active on the mains. Surely one post per day in the main forums isn't sufficient enough to warrant a high title.

And nah I deserved it I suppose. I'm not mad at him. Recon's a good guy.
He'll have a higher title than me the day after he's unbanned so he has no worries.

Hmm Yesterday I got demoted down to Heroic, went on a little posting spree and got my legendary back. I gotta post more if I want to keep this.
If you're posting simply for a title then you probably should stop.
