There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

If you're posting simply for a title then you probably should stop.
That is kinda putting the cart before the horse.

Do bans affect member titles? just wondering.

Hmm Yesterday I got demoted down to Heroic, went on a little posting spree and got my legendary back. I gotta post more if I want to keep this.

Sometimes I wonder: what if there wasn't a title-system? Would all of these users post less than they did or more?

Mostly probably less. It's not that it's all they care about, but it's what get's them up to do it. But people don't get recognized for nice titles anyways, it's in the head. They get recognized because of their contributions.

True. Ever since I got coup, I could care less about my title.

I have lost my mythic 6-7 times over the past month. I have noticed that when I stop posting in various forums and solely post in the Reach forum, it goes away. As soon as I start posting in the Bungie Community, Bungie Universe, as well as other forums, my mythic comes back rather quickly. Maybe I'm just crazy, but I swear it has something to do with diversity of posts - or maybe you get more credit for posting in different forums.

I guess at some point anything can factor into activity.

It might of just been a coincidence. Although we don't know much about the system, so posting in different forums may affect your title.

There's a good reason...

I would still post the same amount. Getting a new member title is just like a pat on the back to me, but I am not to fond of human contact, so... ya. I would still post just as much.

I too have often thought that posting in a variety of forums might increase your chances of gaining trust, i still think that posting in the Optimatch forum gives you a bit more trust as you have to have your account linked to post there??

ummmm, I am a honorable member and (yes, I was a bad boy) have had a 3 day ban and one warning yet I have my honor title still...and the other thing is that I have been a member for more than a year and have not got a heroic prefix or title or legendary title.

There does seem to be some confusion about how the 'honorable' and 'noble' prefix's are gained, my stories the same as your's, i too was banned and kept my honorable prefix?? The only one we can be sure of is 'Exalted', this is 3years without any warnings/bans.

Okay, maybe other Forums give you more trust at different times, for example, if a Forum has a lot of spam or a high amount of bans/warnings, there may be an auto-detection system telling the Title System that trust is worth less there. The same goes for Forums that do not have a high rate of bans or spam, just where they're worth more points, instead of less.

I was told that when my account hit two years of age, I would get the noble prefix. On that exact date, it did. If you have zero warnings or zero bans, I imagine that's how it works. Keeping the honorable prefix after bans and warnings seems to be a bit out of place though.

I will hit my 2 years here in January sometime and my last ban was less than a year ago, i know i will probably get the 'noble' prefix then but it will be interesting to see. ;D

I definitely understand that it could be coincidence, but I didn't just post this randomly. This is a pattern that has happened to me - not exaggerating - 6-7 times in the last 1-2 months. It doesn't matter how much I post on the Reach forum, if I post a few posts in the Universe or Community forum it comes back. Coincidence is diminishing in explanatory power for me as the trend seems to continue.

Thats an interesting idea, as in different forums give you differing amounts of trust? And also posting in a variety of forums could also gain you higher trust??

It could be...Because after I started posting in the Flood and the Community and the occasional Classifieds post I got my Heroic, So this could very well mean that diversity among the forums could raise your trust rating.

So you think that the older the account the quicker the ban wears off? or is it a compulsory period of time to serve?

Beast Mode On - an uprising group that you should check out.

Don't feed the trolls.

Death by Bungie.

^Neither are correct. Just look at any page in this thread and learn about what a trust point is, and then come back with any questions.
