Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

When will I get my Legendary.

:(

When you stop asking about it! Just kidding, when did you get Heroic?

9/02/09

How do you remember the date you where promoted?
I didn't, I made a thread in a private group the day I got promoted, and I knew it was early September, so I went back to check, and I found it was on the Second.

Five years older and wiser
The fires are burning, I'm fire, never tire
Slay warriors in the forests, and on hire

Awwwwww. I wanna tattoo the day I go heroic on my heart.

We know that the trust points are relative, correct? This got me thinking. Is the minimum level for a title, relative or set compared to user #1?
Quoting my own post and tooting my own horn, but I made a graph to go with it.

The bars that indicate the lowest level of trust points, are they set in place or are they ever shifting in comparison to the highest user?

Neat-o.
I would think that they are relative to the highest user, and that there is a queue, but there is also some sort of set standard. Its like the ocean, it swells and stills, but never outside a certain degree.
Maybe?

A while back one of the mods posted something about peoples title's to their threads. He said something along the lines of "Click on my Thread more please! Raise my hit count," I'm not sure if this was some sort of inside jokes between some people, but I think that a higher title may come quicker if you create a Thread, and people click on it. This would thus raise your hit count and some how factor into your title bar.

Nice work, kudos on the graph. I think the bars would shift compaired to the highest user, in my opinion.

The prefix system is base on your activity, number of post, ban/warn history, and it does follow your original subject title.

I may be wrong, but this is the best guess you can come up with.

The graph is just an inverse graph with a change of labels in the axis. The think with the shifting is more along the lines of: Is the minimum for Mythic always 1000 points below the highest? Or is it changing to always have a certain percentage of the population at that Mythic status?

Mathematically, one axis of the graph is an independent variable(constant), while the other is a dependent variable(ever-changing). Which axis is the independent one in the system? Is it the percent of users? Or is it the highest amount of trust points?

I believe they were referring to rule breakers, who were getting hits on the following website: ihatejade.com. Basically, you click the links, and someone gets a free noody pic. The title they mentioned was "if you want to keep your title."

Interesting I seem to have been a victim of random demotion, as my post count or activity has not dropped, and I have not been banned. I guess someone out posted me today and stole my title. :(

Nice job T1B3R7uMB0YXVI. That's a very simple explanation of the system as far as we know.

That post itself looked like a post that was made only for your title; Where was the constructiveness of that post?

P.S. Real tired.

Forum Ninjas and Bungie Employees are not taken into account directly by the system, since their roles override the normal system. For example, a lot of Forum Ninjas are Mythic Members, but you do not know or see that, since their Moderator Title overrides it. The only way to actually figure out a Moderator's Base Title is by looking at their Bar Color in groups. Also, the tested and estimated times required for each title is in the OP.

Estimated as follows:

Member Titles

Member- Default
Heroic Member- 6 to 12 Months (1 Year)
Legendary Member- 1 to 2 Years
Mythic Member- 2 to 3 Years +

Moderator Titles
Forum Ninja- Chosen by Bungie (Any Title)
Master Forum Ninja- Chosen by Bungie, must hold Forum Ninja Title
Bungie Employee- Work full-time at Bungie

Others
Custom Titles- Chosen By Bungie, uses the Title Bar Color you would have if you had a normal/moderator Title. "Webcam MVP" (Custom Member Title) and "Still Hates Toast" (Custom Moderator Title) are examples.

:)

When I was banned early this year my title went straight back up to heroic within 1 week. Can someone explain why?

  • 12.28.2009 5:46 AM PDT

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

I know why it goes down. Let me re word this, before I was banned I was a Legendary member, then after I came off the ban probation period within 1 week I regained a heroic statues. I thought that it takes 6 months of activity to get to Heroic

No you already have a headstart being legendary in the first place, after 6 months activity (if you behave) you should get legendary back.

  • 12.28.2009 6:00 AM PDT

I was banned a little while ago for three days, and then a little while later it was extended to seven days. Does this still count as one ban?

I miss my Heroic :(

I'll give it a go because I am bored to death with my coursework... seriously...

Basically title is calculated off of a hidden number value. Your number needs to be a certain percentage of the highest number... Let's say for simplicity sake the highest number is 1000 and you need to have 20% of this to be heroic (200) and 40% to be Legendary (400).

So, imagine you had... 500 trust points before you were banned, making you a secure Legendary Member. But then... you get bant. Getting banned gives you a massive deduction, say 1,000,000 (which keeps your title down at member until the ban lifts); when the ban expires this massive deduction is lifted, however having a ban on your history prevents your trust points from equalling 500.

For sake of explaining this, pretend a 3 day ban = -200 trust points, now your trust is equal to 500 - 200 = 300 making you Heroic, rather than a Legendary; you still have enough points to not be busted down to member. Now bans decay overtime, so... if the negative value was reduced by say... 50 after every month? It would take at least 2-4 months, with this logic, for the ban to have completely worn off and for you to return to a secure Legendary Member.
