There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

Why do we even bother try to figure it out? It's designed for us not to know how it works, we should just leave it be.
Because it gives us something else to do, and I like seeing all the theories that people come up with.
Fair enough.
And I really have no expectation of actually figuring it out.

Yeah, you can't just post a whole bunch for a few days and expect to get Intrepid. Time is more important than the quantity of your posts. Just stay active, and over time; you'll get a new title.
To get intrepid, I figure you need a high daily post count, for a long amount of time. Basically high PPD for an extended period of time.
I don't think it is that simple. I know of someone who was Intrepid, took a break from posting in the main forums for a few weeks, then made a 10,000 character post in the Septagon and got the Fabled prefix. The system takes post quality into consideration, as well as quantity. PPD isn't everything...

Speaking of quality: what exactly does that mean? A post that is two+ lines?

I dunno, but certain people over in the Universe forum probably went over that limit.

I'm changing Noble to "no bans in 1 year" because I have found evidence of this courtesy of explosivediahreh.

Indeed. I haven't had XBL for a long time, but I still come on her everyday.

That puts you in deep thought? From personal experience, I can say that thinking is the last of my worries during such instances.

My question from a few pages has gone unnoticed. :(

May I ask it again? Pretty please? Is it possible that a lack of activity can actually have a positive effect on your title?

What do you mean? I got my Noble prefix exactly on my 2nd Bnet birthday, without having any bans before that time.

If explosivediahreah had previously been banned, then received the Noble prefix a year later, then I would suspect that it has something to do with This Aspect in which the ban related prefixes behave unpredictably after receiving a ban. However, before a user receives any bans, the ban related prefixes behave pretty predictably under the 1/2/3 year rule. For example, in 2 days I am 99% certain I will obtain the Exalted prefix since it will be my 3rd year without ever receiving a ban.

But I haven't been banned for one year, and I'm only on Honorable. Anyways, I'm beginning to understand the system, even though it is still quite vague.

Duardo, can we add theories still? Or do we have to go through some steps and approvals?

That doesn't make sense. I received the Honorable prefix exactly when my Bungie.net account turned one. If I didn't have an activity based prefix I would have picked up the noble prefix a couple days ago. From what I have seen there have been no members that are have only a one year old account with the Noble prefix.

I just received the Exalted prefix, though my Bungie.net birthday isn't until the 22nd of this month. Have many other members received a higher prefix ever since the new year?

This is a really weird system.

Like everyone else said, I got Noble on my exact 2nd birthday on here.

I haven't yet. I'm only stuck on Honorable, but I still love it. The Noble thing doesn't work out, because then someone would have to choose between Honorable and Noble. The heroic and legendary status seemed to pass over me however.

I don't understand this system that much, but the system is starting to make sense. I've been active since January 2009, but I seem to have not gotten heroic or legendary. Does anyone know what happened around this time?

You just need to be more active and most likely post more and you may get a new title.

January 2009 is only 1 year, so you should only have Heroic at the highest. Read the Original Post by Duardo thoroughly, it very clearly says that Member and Heroic is around 1 year, Legendary is 2 years, Mythic is 3+. Remember, you must be active for that time to count.

I understand that, but I have been active, and I'm 100% sure I haven't gotten banned or warned. What I don't understand is why I haven't achieved the heroic title yet.

Still, I guess if I continue on, I guess I'll hit that Mythic title... One day.

Shouldn't that be extended to "no bans in 1 to 2 years", since the variations of that title and when it occurs? Unless, Exalted was changed to "2-3 years", because a 1 year time gap seems weird to place in the title system, right?

Would it be possible to just keep me at one title? It seems as though everytime I go on I'm a different title, like for instance how I was Heroic yesterday, now I'm just Honorable. What gives!

  • 01.01.2010 6:45 PM PDT

My account is 2 years old today and i've gained the noble prefix! Glad i've got rid of that honorable one lol

I should clarify..

A two year old member can receive the Noble prefix as evidence has suggested yes? However, if that two year old member was banned during his first year, it would take a year after those bans for him to receive the Noble prefix.
