So wait, if I'm reading those formulas correctly, you earn elder member once you have achieved 6 years of membership on this site. Does that override other prefixes such as Exalted or Fabled? Is Exalted designated as the premiere prefix?

I hope I don't follow Phil's (philace117) footsteps. He didn't get his Heroic until two years of being on this site. But, minus the title system, this website is still satisfying to just be active.

I have been here for over 3 years...and I just got my Heroic status. I also have no bans on my account either. I think for some people it moves a little slower.

Yes Exalted is the highest prefix.

It does also depend on involvement. How often do you post each day?

IDK..maybe 5-15 times a day, Mon-Fri.

Wow, that's a lot more than I post. I aim for 3-5 posts per day, Sun-Sat.

Exactly...its takes longer for some people I guess. But it really doesn't bother me...its just a user title. Though it is nice to be seen has a person that's supported here for a while.

I have a theories about the system's formula for the ranking system.
key;
Number of member's Post; P
Number of member's ban; B
Number of member's warn; W
Number of member's trust rating(Reputation);T
Age of the user account;A
user Activity percentage ratio;R

Member title system; Heroic; P/9500 x((15%xB)+(5%xW));

Legendary; P/25000 x((20%xB)+(10%xW));

Mythic; p/500000 x((30%xB)+(20%xW));

Member's prefix system;
Absent; offline == (60+ days)
Honorable; Online == (60+ days)/((15%xB)+(5%xW))
Veteran; Online == (1460+ days (or four years or above))/((50%xB)+(25%xW))
Noble; Online == (730+ days)/((17.5%xB)+(7.5%xW))
Senior; Online == (1825+ days(or known as five years or more))/((55%xB)+(25%xW))
Elder; Online == (2190(or known as six years or more))/((60%xB)+(30%xW))
Intrepid; P/2550 x((5%xB)+(2.5%xW))
Fabled; P/5250 x((15%xB)+(7.5%xW))
Exalted; Online == (P/1500) AND, (1095 days)x((100%xB)+(100%xW))

*Will update more later this week

If the user reaches to 1 in either one of those formula, it means that the user has been promoted to that certain title. I still need to figure it out about the preffix system, but that will take awhile before I come up with a formula of some sort.
Any comments? Like I said, it's a theory.

Edited; added the prefix formula, changed some number to make it corrected.
Updated.
That is the most confusing thing I've ever tried to read.

Not for me. I didn't even bother trying. :)

I gave up trying after the abbreviations. The Member title system part was way too confusing.

I think that the prefix system goes by days, not years. I just gained Noble not on the 2 year mark, but on the 730 day mark. What's the difference? Leap years.

Here's how it works, the member system calculates the number of post you have. If they did the calculations, for example if i==1 as a result, you are promoted to that certain type of statue.
I.e. If you post more than 2500, with no ban or warnings. You will be promoted to heroic, because 2500/2500 = 1, so it became true.

Exalted is the most powerful prefix in the ranking system, so it override the fabled one. You can only achieve Exalted if you have no ban or warning, unless you really have a extraordinarily high post count. I.e. one ban, = about one million post to obtain Exalted.

When people don't have any other reasonable explanation, they use a poor and stupid excuse to defend themselves. Way back in the Quaker days it was witches, and now it's videogames.

Posted by: T1B3R7uMB0YXVIThe only problem with your theories, in my opinion, is that there are a lot of numerical assumptions that aren't backed up by a lot of evidence... Mainly because Achronos never gives us numerical information about the system to begin with, and he never will. So trying to quantify aspects about the title system often leads to misconceptions.

I think that observing the general trends are the best we are going to be able to do, and understanding the base concepts are most we are going to be able to know about the system.

So why do people go up and down, without any sort of ban or warning, and while still being active?

Guessing the math behind the titles is, in my opinion, a waste of time. We have absolutely no numbers to deal with, just guesses.

I'm not usually so blunt but can people please stop pulling random numbers out of their rear ends without any evidence? It isn't really helpful and it is potentially confusing the matter for people coming to the thread and searching for answers.

EDIT: You're welcome to post theories, just don't state them as fact ;)

What I found interesting in these posts is Achronos' comments about the purpose trust rating and dealing with people who make alts to evade their past. If I'm understanding what he said, alternate accounts are affected by main accounts. If you have a main accoutn that you get into a lot of trouble with, then the trust rating of your alt is lowered.

Well, I said that it came at the 730 mark, not the 2 year mark. Today is my 2nd bnet b-day, but I got Noble yesterday, which was the 730 mark. Is that proof enough?

Isolated incidents are not proof. If you can find a good deal of other people who received that prefix after 730 days, that's a different story.

The main reason why the system is moving someone's roles up and down is because it has to calculate every single member in this forum once a month. Though, it had to verify all the calculations, which could take days to do it, even weeks.

That does not explain why members who are say, Legendary, but don't get on for a week, drop. There is nothing in your formula about account age or "activity" (do not read "ppd"). You are just, forgive my rudeness, making all this up. I'm confident no one will guess the formula. Making a guess, I'd say Achronos would not make a system relying on posting alone.

Furthermore, are you counting group posts as a post? If you are, then why don't the people who set up a group merely to spam for posts (I believe someone did this as an experiment, if memory serves) not go up in title? If you are not, then why do people who post exclusively, or nearly exclusively, in groups, gain titles?

As for ban related titles going by days, it seems likely, as JBSpudster also got his Exalted prefix a day early. Not a huge discovery, but it's still amusing.

The post counts do include in the groups and in the main forum. And congrats to JBSpudster, none the less.
