I'm not sure if this was already discussed about in previous replies (I'm too lazy to read all these pages), but what determines a high post count? I'm very active on these forums (25 PPD) yet there is no "Intrepid" or "Fabled" status on my profile.

You've only been registered for a year.

It's a combination of the two.

There are many powers in the world, for good or for evil. Some are greater than I am. Against some I have not yet been measured. But my time is coming.

Again, the question I asked about how long it will take me to recover from a thirty day ban was the first time I ever asked that. And, I only posted in this thread about 7-10 times. Since, you guys are up-tight about me asking a question, I'll just leave (like you all care). Sorry for interupting your posts, and JB, your attitude changed. A lot.
OK. Maybe JB jumped a little, but you have asked the same questiuon several times. It has been answered more than once that, while no one knows the answer for sure, a 30 ban is a monsterous hurdle to overcome. You're going to have to be patient and continue to try to contribute. My advice is to let it go. It will happen when it does. Trying so hard seems a little odd. Also, I do want to call BS on your claim to having posted only 7-10 times in this thread. It's over 60 since the middle of November.

You must have a high post count for an X extended amount of time. :\

I think its more posted character count than post count.

Remember how Achronos has said something about post quality?
Well, there's no way of automatically measuring intelligence in text, but a very long post is most often more intelligent than 'riveting tale, chap.'
Just a thought.

Some threads will get posts before others and it is the duty of the Leadership to ensure that posts are made that best suit the public welfare.

Sometimes it's better to be able to sum something up in ten words than go on for paragraphs about it.

by the way, just for laffs try and guess how long it'll take me to get back to mythic after having been banned 3 times and warned twice in the last month

True, but I do think someone who makes short posts at the same rate someone makes longer posts is going to get Fabled... later.

And I think it might take you a while :P.

Yeah, he's definitely posted in this thread more than 10 times. I don't think JB acted wrongly, you have asked the question quite a bit, Gio. It's not that hard to figure out though, a 30 day ban is definitely going to take a while to recover from. Just don't think about it so much, you'll get a new title eventually.

Eh, whatever, you guys are right. I guess I think I didn't make the same post (over and over again) because I re-worded it differently. God, I feel stupid! O' well, I'll stop posting in this thread due to the fact I got all the information I need. I also need to learn that I'm not here to get a higher title; Just to have fun, and post. And, again, sorry to all for interupting your theories and such. Peace.

Listen. The intent of my post earlier wasn't to get you to stop posting in this thread. The intent was to answer your question to the best of my knowledge, while trying to keep the thread on topic. I am sorry if I was harsh or overly blunt.

My view of this thread has more so been about the system, rather than not the individuals of which it affects. So, to me, people asking specifically about when they will receive an elevated title is a personal ordeal and is arguably off-topic. I guess it is an unfair thing of me to by trying to instill that mentality on to others here, since I am not the creator of this thread... But I am a big fan of organization and, in my opinion, removing the personal aspect of the discussion helps keep the thread more organized and easier to follow for newcomers and frequenters alike.

My main gripe is that recently there has been a surge of people asking the personal question, "When will I get an elevated title?", albeit in different forms. It's rather frustrating to see original questions and theories about the system itself get ignored and buried by the same posts over and over again, especially when few people actually listen to the answers being offered. I would be willing to bet a decent amount that 95% of the questions asked currently, within this thread, could be answered by previous educated guesses if only the participant took it upon themselves to look back into the archives a bit.

It's ok to be curious and ask questions, but asking the same question repeatedly becomes very annoying to the people who repeatedly give out their best guesses, and it is preventing the thread from progressing into new territory. It is a cycle that I am trying to break, granted I probably do not have the authority to do so, but at least I'm trying my best to help out who I can within this thread.

Overall, again, I am sorry if your feelings were hurt by my earlier post, as that was not my intention. I just wanted to keep things on topic as much as possible, and I guess I hypocritically took things a bit too personally. That being said, can we please put this behind us and get back on topic?!? Lol! ^_^

Theres no need to stop posting in this thread, as Spudster said members are asking the same questions over and over especially about PPD, theres no real need to know this to be honest. I like this thread because its very interesting to hear other member ideas about how they think the system works.
Theres really no need for you to go nerd!!

At the end of the day, it will be interesting to see how long it does take for your title to change. If we can wait that long, then maybe we can all have an answer for the next guy.

BASE TITLES

* title bar color is dark-gray
** Basic title for all members; Vast majority of Bungie.net hold this title

Heroic Member
* title bar color is gray
** active member for about 6-12 months

Legendary Member
* title bar color is light-gray
** active member for about 1-2 years

Mythic Member
* title bar color is royal-blue
** active member for about 2-3 years
I think we should start revising these numbers, because of some trends. People can get Heroic after 6 months, but the trends have been that they lose it quickly, and don't get it back for about 6 months. I'd say a year should be minimum number now for Heroic. I don't have much on the other titles, because they have been quite steady as of recent.

:( I dropped back down to Heroic again. Apparently I'm still teetering on the edge of Heroic and Legendary. I guess that means I need to increase my PPD a bit more.

Just recently passed the 5 year mark of membership here at Bnet. Perhaps I should venture out of private groups a bit more and I may see a jump in status in the near future if I'm lucky.

edit: oh would you look at that.. my status DID change! From honorable to exalted. Most likely happened on my membership anniversary, which happens to be Christmas day! Thanks for the little present, BNet.

I don't believe so, but I could be wrong. Like I mentioned, the large majority of my activity in the forums here happens in private groups (most notably one group). So it's possible I was Noble at one point and may not have ever noticed it.

Oh, just because of group titles.

Because it would seem you should have had it.

1 year activity, 2 years no bans.
And you're Exalted Legendary now, which means you have fulfilled requirements.
