I'm still trying to get Intrepid or Fabled. Does your posting have to hit like 1,000? Or something like that?

For reference, your post count is estimated to be something around 4680.

In comparison, I'm Fabled, and I have a post count of around 24,200.
That method is so unreliable. It usually says I have around 8 or 9 posts total.

Odd, it says 5,700 when I looked you up...

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

Dang. I got to find out how many it takes. Maybe it hits 10,000 for intrepid and 20,000 for fabled.

But I guess I can make posts that are like that, just as long as they are on topic and helpful.

Its best to do it like this, quality is more important than quantity, a shiny title next to your name isn't worth it if everybody thinks your just a mindless frequent poster. Also, if you put thought into your posts, you'll earn heroic and legendary on the way to Intrepid and Fabled.

I was a Legendary Member myself when I became Intrepid.

Alright. Thank you for some hints, they are very helpful. :)

Its far easier to just stay out of trouble and get a prefix like Exalted than it is to get several thousand posts, in my opinion. I still think I'm a wee bit short of one thousand posts myself. But Ive been a member for over 5 years, pretty active for about 3, and stayed out of trouble for the most part.

I just think its more work to try and raise post count than it is to just be a nice dude. Especially considering having a high post count isn't really anything to brag about necessarily, and shouldnt really be anyone's goal.

To get intrepid or fabled maybe.

But you got a LOOOOOONG way to go for any prefix You just got started, dude. Heroic will take 6 months minimum.

Honestly, don't sweat it though. If you come on Bnet and feel like you need to work on something, then I think you are missing the point of being here.

just relax, post, have fun. The titles are cool and all, but they honestly change nothing.

Heroic relies more on the age and activity of your account. You don't have to post heaps, you just have to be active for a period of time.

I miss my Heroic :(

Why give it to me if you're only going to take it away so soon?!

I have been a active member since Late June and have only been banned once for minor thing (a 3 day ban) so when will I rank up?

  • 01.23.2010 6:47 AM PDT

Honestly, this must be a joke. Child, listen, stop trying to defend yourself because clearly you are incapable of it. The only idiot in this thread is yourself, and trust me, it is obvious. So, how about you do as I asked earlier and log off, mommy and daddy wouldn't want you staying up this late.

Some time in the future. It depends on how active (like how much you post) you are n' other stuff.

Impossible to tell since we as normal members arent fully aware of all the parameters that are going into the equation. Personally I'm playing with the thought that bans and membership lenghts might have some form of inverted correlation. So as a fairly new member you might be more affected by a ban than someone who has been here for 3 or so years....but that's just a theory I have. It could also be as simply as that a newer member hasnt been able to accumulate enough trust points yet to be able to "neutralize" an infraction as fast as older members, this could explain how I was able to instantly go back to Mythic on my main account when my latest ban expired.

Actually, your PPD is only around 21/22. Either way that is quite impressive. Hold that for a while and your sure to get the Intrepid prefix.

None of us really knows, but I believe that, after a certain point, having a higher and higher post count no longer helps.

  • 01.23.2010 8:41 AM PDT

For the first time I actually looked at this and it is really informative. I probably won't go on up to heroic member until the anniversary date I signed up on B.net.

I seem to faintly recall reading somewhere that:

A: Having posted in a thread that gets locked reduces trust.
B: Something about reporting affecting trust, what goes there?

Correcting people in the Reach forum is a good place to start.

It can sometimes pick up other usernames besides yours. Like if I search mine, relliK42, I get 2,570 posts. But if I add a space between the K and 42 it will get someone else. Make sure you put in your username correctly.

Point A you have there is up for interpretation. Unfortunately I have found myself involved in a number of threads that get locked because of lunacy, etc. and I still haven't lost my prefix.

I also believe it does help a user to report those threads that shouldn't exist; it's apart of being a member of the community, and I'm sure is a factor (however small) in determining your title.

@Geegs30

The google search says I have 5290 posts. That's not enough for Intrepid. I've been banned 3 times so no chance at Exalted. And my account isn't even three years old yet so no Veteran. I'm just a regular old dude haha

Its pretty easy to know if a thread is going to get locked or not most of the time. You can usually tell from the OP. If the OP breaks the rules, there's really no need to post in the thread at all. Just hit the report button and move on. In fact, posting in a thread where someone has broken the rules does nothing but serve as a stepping stone for more discussion in a thread that should be getting locked anyway. There will always be someone who posts in these threads and lets them know what they did wrong... just don't let it be you. Reporting the post is the best solution, and likely helps your trust factor because you're adhering to both points A and B described above.
