Do you guys think that Master Moderators and the Webteam have the power to demote, and promote your title?
Master mods?
No.
Webteam?
Let's hope not.

Yeah, I think it's the system that does all the demoting. Perhaps Achronos can manually do it though.

Aside from changing your trust value by means of banning, highly doubtful. It is an automated system and in the past Achronos has stated his dislike for manual input karma systems, as they are too subjective to reflect any sort of value or rating.

They can give you a special title, obviously, but I don't think they can bump you up to Mythic or anything.

And yeah, karma systems are kinda weird.
It got pulled from Coup not too long ago.

Good point(s). It makes sense though if Achronos has the ability to do that sort of thing though.

Isn't he the one who changes contractors things to "avius custos" or something like that?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

I said let's hope not, because if he gets ticked off one day...

Lurking and posting in Chapters seem to bump me up, too. "Heh".

They can easily demote your title simply by warning/banning you.

And I'm sure the webteam could promote someone manually but it would probably be a big hassle on their part.

Agreed. While I am nearly 100% positive that a mod of any kind could never do this, Achronos or another member of the web team could defiantly do it. It may not be easy per say, but they can.

I often wonder that. It would make sense at least to me.

Although it seems like they have a pretty good trust system in place, a trust button, only for mods and employees, sounds interesting to me. Maybe some of us could go back to lurking more and still gain trust every once in a while, without having to think up something clever or useful to post every day.

I think the most important principle behind the trust system is that it eliminates the human element that is inevitably prone to some level of bias, no matter how big or small or whether its conscious or not. The human element, which always has to make a choice isn't good for this system, especially since they mods can't be everywhere at once.

I would imagine they don't, but unless we get a pic of what Bnet looks like from their end, we wont know.

I'm pretty sure it just looks the same as the Superuser in a group.

No?

Anyway, has anyone ever made a group for this subject?
I would think someone has.
(Not that I want to join it or anything, I'm just curious)

And I wonder if there will be any updates to this system.

Was that 5 years of activity or 5 years of just being a member.

You still wouldn't have been a Mythic member by now even if you didn't get banned.

I have too, but I've posted a lot. I think if you log on everyday (Even if you don't post), you can get a promotion in base title.

So I just got Heroic.
It'll probably fluctuate like it does for a little bit, but I'm at the threshold after about 6 months of activity.

Just so you know.

It hasn't done that for me in a while. The last time I was promoted, it just stuck.

I'm surprised I haven't gone down, considering how I've drastically decreased my posting recently. I think it's because of my join date and for how long I've had this title. :)
