Not even for documentation purposes?

I think he is referring to the people that just post to let people know they got a new title.

If is something relative to the topic or a theory I would think it's fine.

Although I haven't posted in this thread alot until recently this rash of people asking when they are going to rank up is a bit annoying.
The reason I'm asking this is because my rank is being switched from regular to Heroic constantly. It's switched about 3-4 times in the past two weeks. That is also a bit annoying.

My thoughts on that is that you are right on the cusp between Member and Heroic which from what I've seen and experienced your title will fluctuate alot.

One day I was posting in a thread and my title kept switching back and forth for a good dozen posts before it finally settled on Heroic.

Keep posting daily and you should settle in to a title in no time.

Just searched for a forum rank thread and came across this, so i figured i'd ask.

Why is my Titles constantly switching between Noble Herioc, and just Plain Noble?

It actually went down from me posting more.
I know it isnt that big of a deal, but it's starting to get a little annoying, that's all.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Don't just have a day of activity, hold the activity over a period of days (or weeks, whatever it may be).
Maybe you and dare are fighting for the Heroic title.

My posting has plummeted these last couple weeks. All the homework and new games coming out. That's a shame. It'd be even more of a shame if mah title plummets as well.

I'm certain that "Fabled" prefix is linked to your posts per day. Somebody has 100, yes 100 posts per day and he is "Fabled".

My title never seem to go down once I get it. Also I was warned about 3 months ago and within 1 and a half months I reached Legendary again.

Are you sure we know the basics? Or are you taking guesses along side other guesses?
Everything in the OP is a theory, based on numerous facts and examples observed by various people, including myself.

Posting just to post contributes nothing. If you wanna document it, use Wordpad.

Wouldn't Mythic be "2 or more" years instead of "2-3?"

Why is the 3 there? Is there some sort of cap?

He is saying that there is 2-3 years before you get your mythic member status. That is an estimated logical guess of course.

Dang Mass Effect 2... Takin' away from my posting. My trust points must be high enough to maintain the Heroic.

When enlightenment is the question. The Answer is Pain.
When Ignorance is the problem. The Answer is Blood.
When love is absent. Hatred fills the void.

2-3 years for Mythic, I'd imagine is about right. I mean I know its about 6 months to a year for Heroic, 2 years for Legendary...so that one must be right...

I'm sure that when they implement the title system, I started off a Legendary member.

I just want to know why i lost my Heriocness, AS I was posting...
I posted in one thread, and was still Noble Heroic.
But onc ei went to the next one, and posted again. I bumped back down to Plain old Noble.

Somebody must have more Trust Points than you, and got it in that period of time.

Is there any just plain Mythic Member. I have only seen a Mythic with a prefix.

There used to be, but that member gained a title prefix back around the new year.

  • 01.29.2010 2:50 PM PDT

hi

Wow, I literally have changed from Mythic to Legendary and vice versa every 1-2 weeks since december

And I post at least 4 or so posts a day. A lot of times I post for a couple of hours a day. So I'm not inactive.

Taxes do nothing to affect the share of wealth, since taxes are only applied to income.

So that's not even a part of the conversation at all, so it's pointless talking about it....

"for a "best" moral to exist, there must exist the "best" moral base. If the base of morality varies from location to location, culture to culture...then there can't be an absolute moral..

I'm surprised to see that so many people are posting about this topic. Title increases appear to follow account length, posting, and not getting banned.

Is there something else we think is going on?

One thing I've often wondered is how much impact on your title does posting in groups have?

Reason being is that I know there are several members with higher titles that seem to never post on the main forums,or if they do it's rare.

Actually, post length doesn't really play a factor. The main factor on how to get a better prefix is how on-topic and helpful the post is.

Someone could have a 1 sentence post with very helpful advice while another could have like 8000 characters the post is just spam.

Seeing as the system is automatic, I don't really see how it could distinguish a 'good' post from a 'bad' post. I also don't see why they would design a system that is based on how many characters someones posts have. Like you said, someones 6 word post could be 10x more helpful than someones 6000 word post.

I really think that account age, consistent posting and not getting banned are three main things involved. What I mean by 'consistent posting' is posting around the same amount each day/week/month.
