So having a goal set on a rank is pointless?

Yes. Just post for the fun of it and the titles are just a super cool bonus :)

Weird. Just jumped from Honorable Member, To Honorable Legendary Member.

Hmm..Duardo, Might I suggest, from my experiences (look at my ban history) that you change the Honorable prefix to the following?

"1. Honorable - No bans/warnings For several months. If banned/warned, you may or may not keep the title, depending on length/number of bans. "

Unless anyone else can think of something else. Feel free to spew my ban history aloud, Believe I was banned a few months ago, then a few weeks after the ban I acquired this title, and today just upgraded to legendary.

Here's my guess:

Your base title changed from Member to Legendary Member due to the removal of a negative trust influencer caused by a previous ban. Essentially you recovered from your last ban, and this happens at the beginning of every month for many previously banned members if all of the factors are right (severity of ban, months since last ban, age and activity of account, etc.).

Your prefix has been Honorable since the New Year, in which many previously banned users gained a ban related prefix on that day. Based on how so many previously banned users gained a ban related prefix on that day, I would say that there was some sort of "slate cleaning" event in terms of ban history when the New Year came along. So even though it hasn't been a full year since your last ban, it has been long enough since your last ban for the "slate cleaning" event to grant you the Honorable prefix with the New Year. That's just my theory anyway.

Hmm, Your theory sounds very plausible. Did not consider that.

My guess would be that every new year, your slate gets wiped totally clean as you said. You still have your old bans from the last year(s), but their effect on your title is reduced by some, or even totaly. Since it is a new year, and if you have managed to not get banned/warned yet that year, the system looks as you as not being banned in 2010, even if it's only been a few days. It's that perspective that allows you to gain a ban related prefix. Am I rambling? It's late and I'm not sure if I'm making sense...

I don't think that your slate gets completely cleaned on the new year. Mainly because there were a lot of Honorable gains, a good amount of Noble gains, but very few Exalted gains despite there being a lot of members who would qualify for Exalted if they had a completely clean ban history.

Anyone else ever wonder what it's like for two elcor to do the nasty?

"Tentatively excited: Oh. Oh. Oh. Right there."

Yeah me neither.

I have been going between Mythic, and Legendary a lot recently.

Shishka has said the Mythic title is limited to 200 users. Can't find the quote at the moment twas' quite awhile ago. And I assume every time a Mythic gets demoted I temporarily assume their title until they earn it back.

So finally I have deduced that I am a Mythic bench warmer!

Legendary to Heroic - what the smeg is going on?

  • 02.02.2010 2:46 AM PDT

I who walk alone in this world wrapped in the arms of the past not knowing what lies ahead of me. What am I? A soulless being to be beaten by the rage of those who hate me? Cutting my way past hopes and dreams. Sit in the window sill as I do every day and night resignations on my slate of who I am and what is left behind. Concealed in the words that chases my every thought. I who walk alone in this world…I am broken

Woah, dude, trippy. What horrible tips.

Better tips: Don't give a -blam!- about your title, you may have simply gone down because a user with a similar amount of trust points gained more than you or something. But seriously, just don't care. Number one tip of the day.

I'm through with this thread. Unless someone of course has a proper question, doesn't seem likely though.

Do you think logging in and out is better than just logging in once for the whole day?

Plus, well, it'd be sort of stupid to have ban related titles. They all require 1 year+ to earn, and if your slate got cleaned once a year, why bother having them? Maybe the "weight" just gets slightly reduced for old bans. Mahcks said every Mythic member got a prefix on the new year, and since all Mythic members have been around a long time...

On a slightly related topic, I had something of a theory for prefixes. I believe someone said they were an Intrepid member, got banned, and returned as a Fabled. Anyone else have this happen?

It could be that the posting he did in private groups bumped him up, but it got me thinking. I see 3 prefix groups, Honorable/Noble/Exalted - Ban related titles. Intrepid/Fabled/Absent - Activity related titles (NOT NECESSARILY PPD >:| ) and time related titles - Veteran/Senior/Elder.

What if you have "points" in each group? So you have some points in the ban related titles, and more in the post related titles. You get banned, and you are less "weighed down" by the ban related points, and go up in the activity prefixes...

I'm fairly sure I'm wrong, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Yeah, about a year and a few months.

Still, I'm surprised. I mean, I've been banned more than five times.

It was funny because when I was promoted, somebody in a group I'm in was demoted (at the same time).
