Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

It counts as a post in the forums. I know of somebody who is Intrepid Legendary and only posts on files.

"Unlinking/Linking your Gamertag is highly probable to lower/raise your title" Is that true ?
I don't see why that would make a difference. I mean yea it allows you to network amongst the members of B.net as well as gain access to the Optimatch forum, but that's about it. Some people may not include their gamertag just because they want to keep B.net and XBL separate, or keep themselves more unidentifiable.
I can definitely see how how linking a gamertag would make a member more "trustworthy".

Look at it this way; Creating a new Bungie.net account is somewhat of a time investment when compared to say the action of handing out a ban. Linking a gamertag to said account is also a comparable time investment, but it is also a time investment that is completely optional. Members who choose to take this optional time investment are basically placing more of a personal value to their account, and therefore are more likely to play nice and abide by the rules.

If you look at obvious alternate Bungie.net accounts, it is pretty likely that they will not have an attached gamertag because that account is not valued by the person who operates it. It would be understandable, in my opinion, to not trust that account as much as one that has an attached gamertag for that very reason.

Thanks for choosing to whine over being a productive member of the community and possible element towards advancing Reach.

Got a bit of a question: Does anyone have a clue how long you have to be a particular member for it to "lock in." I understand the trust rating system as well as I can, but I'm curious as to if there's a certain amount of time before a rank locks in for a user.

I point this out because I recently noticed I'm a Mythic member and I remember being one a while ago, but losing it only a few days later. I assumed that it was because someone who had a higher rating than me ranked up. But I remember fluctuating between Heroic and Legendary before "locking in" to the higher rank.

This just mainly peeked my curiosity is all.

I just recently linked this account. Does it take time for trust?

I am not sure of the specifics, but I know that the effects of removing of a gamertag on a highly trusted account (one with an elevated title) are pretty much instantaneous. My guess is that the addition of a gamertag would be the same, but I can't be certain.

Over time, you accumulate more and more stuff.

Age and trust points eventually accumulate so much you don't have to compensate as much for activity, basically. So you never really lock, it just gets easier.

oh trolled i wouldnt do that

I went from normal member to legendary member in two days. I hardly ever post in the mains, but I browse them occasionally. I spend most of my time in private groups. Any theories?

The only explanation for that is Dark magic.

That's what I'm thinking. I used to be Honorable member but Foman kept banning me so I lost it. Now I'm legendary?

It's common for previously banned members to "skip" titles, or to rapidly progress through them at the beginning of each month. It seems that the first day of each month is when the system removes the negative trust influencers, caused by bans and warnings, for members that qualify. You must have qualified to have your negative trust influencer removed for playing nice. ^_^

I don't play nicely, I stopped playing. I did hit heroic in between, but it still seems like a rapid jump considering how many times Foman has banned me.

When Ignorance is the problem. The Answer is Blood.
When love is absent. Hatred fills the void.

Ha, I always play nice...though I rarely do lose my cool and go off at some people...

When I get a title, I stay on the title for YEARS

  • 02.03.2010 11:04 PM PDT

I who walk alone in this world wrapped in the arms of the past not knowing what lies ahead of me. What am I? A soulless being to be beaten by the rage of those who hate me? Cutting my way past hopes and dreams. Sit in the window sill as I do every day and night resignations on my slate of who I am and what is left behind. Concealed in the words that chases my every thought. I who walk alone in this world…I am broken

So hows TGP doing? lol and i was the same way i got banned quite a few times but i have this title now!

It's a shame it is against the rules to call you out on your rank, seeing as how the level you play at greatly affects the opinions you hold (on gameplay). Generally, if you are bad - Your opinions are wrong, and your argument is invalid.

GG

I've only been banned once and warned 2 times, both like 8 months ago, and I've been a active member here since September 2008 or something.

Sad Face.

After i attempted to link my other account to this one i jumped from noble heroic to noble legendary member.

Honestly, this must be a joke. Child, listen, stop trying to defend yourself because clearly you are incapable of it. The only idiot in this thread is yourself, and trust me, it is obvious. So, how about you do as I asked earlier and log off, mommy and daddy wouldn't want you staying up this late.

Silence fills the empty grave, now that I have gone
But my mind is not at rest, for questions linger on

Been here for almost 2 years now, no bans, no warnings. Have been fairly active on the mains and in private groups. If I count the time I had on my first B.net account, which I lost the password to, I must have been here for a good 4 years or so. :(
Still just a stinkin' Honorable Member. F#%k the trust system.

Alright, alright so it obviously makes a difference. I feel like Bungie shouldn't make it as much of an obligation to link your XBL account and b.net account, if you don't want to. Some people just inherently will not do it.

Bans hardly affect Intrepid or Fabled at all. I've been banned six times (all minor, but still), the most recent of which was about a month ago, and I just got the Fabled title for the first time the other day.
