Subject: FAQ on Bungie.net Member Titles / Prefixes / Bar Colors

I who walk alone in this world wrapped in the arms of the past not knowing what lies ahead of me. What am I? A soulless being to be beaten by the rage of those who hate me? Cutting my way past hopes and dreams. Sit in the window sill as I do every day and night resignations on my slate of who I am and what is left behind. Concealed in the words that chases my every thought. I who walk alone in this world…I am broken

I remember hearing somewhere that posting in private groups contributes around a quarter of the trust points then posting in public forums does.
Same here, i remember hearing/reading something along those lines!

  • 02.05.2010 8:15 AM PDT

So we should post more in Public forums then?

I'm calling BS until I see a link to a golden post that states it.

Why would the Web Team go through all the extra trouble of putting different trust influencers per posts that depend on where the post is located? To me, it would seem much more intuitive to just make every post have an equal trust influencer, in terms of its location (not necessarily its quality).

Besides, if group posts are actually significantly less in terms of their trust influence, I would personally have a hard time explaining why I have an elevated title since on average I post 15 times more in groups than I do in the public forums.

EDIT: Spelling.

When Ignorance is the problem. The Answer is Blood.
When love is absent. Hatred fills the void.

Good point. I remember that posting in groups increases trust, but from what I remember of those pages of posts the level of influence it has on a persons trust was never specified, and I was around for quite a bit of that.

Really? Cool.
Also, I heard that Private groups posts counted for something, but not much.

I joined the site in April 2009 and to this day only have like 4 or 5 posts. I wonder how long it will take to get the next title...

I am going for Interpred member, I have been since early December, I usually post 50 times a day. I wonder how many posts I would need?

Same here, sometimes higher or lower, though. But usually it's around 10-15.

Once upon a time there was a blip, then there were two blips, and then three, then came halozfather...........1 blip, 2 blip, 3 blip....gone!

must...post....more....must....get....extra....status. wow that was hard. lol, but the inclusion of these status's are a great way to determine when someone makes a post, their specific title will have at least some weight to what they say.

If you are at Bungie.net for the long term and you don't get bans or warnings, then it is only a matter of time before you get titles. I do like how the system encourages responsible posting and playing nice.

Ugh, even with just three short bans it took me quite some time to be reach beyond "Honorable Member"; Leaned that creating successful topics may accelerate things a little.

Don't forget posting and signing in.
And, I like how it does that (encourages positive behavior) as well.
