I agree with the conclusion that Intrepid is for a large amount of posts, because I just got it. Now I just need to get my damn Legendary back...

Since I am also Intrepid, I think that Fabled will take at least a ~15 Post Average, since I have a post average lower than 10, and so do you. I don't think I have seen any with more than 15, but I will check other Intrepid's profiles to see.
I had Intrepid with 20 posts a day before.
Granted, it was only a weeks (month and a half), after I got it, but I had it at 20 for a few months before I got Intrepid as well.

Mine was at 22 on the day I was promoted, but It's been around 10 for most days before and after that, so I'm assuming it's at least 15.

The Average Post Counter only takes into account the last 999 posts, so I'm not sure it is the most reliable statistic. I'm at 16.67 PPD, and 999/16.67 is 60, so Average Post Counter only applies to my last 2 months on the site. I imagine that Intrepid and Fabled Stats take into account much more data.

Also, I'm pretty sure PPD can only accumulate from the first day that you posted. If you didn't post in the forums for your first year of membership, you may not rank up as fast. And private group effects are still an unknown.

So where can i see my daily post average?

It's a script specifically for this site. Download Greasemonkey, then install the Average Post Count script. It only takes into account your last 999 posts though, and it doesn't include the time before your first public forum post.

I think there is a FF Script for this. Maybe you can find something here.

  • 02.15.2010 2:06 PM PDT

Oh! I find it. There you go.

I wonder if having a prefix helps your main title (Heroic, Legendary, Mythic) go up faster. I mean think about it, how often do you see someone with the "Member" title have one of the higher up prefixes?

Well I've always believed that posting on multiple forums helps out your titles. I post in 4 of the main forums regularly, and multiple groups.

Eh. I don't think how many times you post matters, I think its YOUR average. I don't post that often anymore, and I recently jumped from member to legendary (heroic atm, got warned).

Like, say if my PPD was 4 or something, If I posted 4 times in a day, It would consider me 'active' because thats my usual average.

I post in groups alot though.

So you can lose titles like Heroics from bans and warnings to?

Yes you can. You might consider perusing the thread a little farther back to really find out why, but when you violate forum rules, you lose trust, which directly affects your member title.

I was banned for 3 days and lost my Honorable. Then when my ban was over, I got the Honorable pre-fix.

Sounds like a bunch of Justin Bieber wannabes in here. I bet you all wear skinny jeans too.

Does anyone know if the Theme Master title is still given out?

Well, technically I think it still is. Whether or not Stosh actually looks at the themes is a totally different question. From what I've been told, he doesn't even check the 7themes e-mail anymore, so...

It would be nice to see it being given out though.

Your 'noble' prefix isn't anything to do with post's its to do with how active and old your account is!

Ahh beautiful. It seems posting a thread really does effect your trust rating. Every time I've made a thread i always make that jump to legendary or heroic (depending on which title i had previously). It's a very interesting choice, but it makes sense. It takes a lot more trust to make a thread without getting a warning or ban than to make a regular post. Usually carpet bans are quite uncommon, so i can definitely see why this would be included in the formula.

So to get a promotion, we should make more threads?

So long as they contribute and provide interesting discussion, most likely. Although the system could be as complicated as it judges action on a per user basis based on bans / warnings. So I'm not quite sure. Although it's a fairly safe bet.

You can acquire certain prefixes by creating threads, but that requires quite a bit of posting to attain. As far as your member title goes, it just takes time and dedication. You'll see the fruits of your labor pay off in time.

It would contribute to your promotion. Some titles require you to stay active while others require you to follow the rules or post a lot.

The main promotions with the colors like Mythic members being royal blue require you to stay active over a period of time.

  • 02.16.2010 11:46 AM PDT

I rarely create new threads. I don't think its a very large factor in the equation. I think posting in general (which includes new topics) is where it's at.

One theory states that having a linked GT could play a role in the title system but do we have any theories related to played games on a linked GT? I'm seemingly stuck as heroic on my alt so I'm considering playing a few Halo 3 matches on the GT I have linked to it just to see if it does anything for my title.

Thoughts?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Same here. In my entire time on Bnet, I've probably only made, at most, 10 threads (on the main forums).

I remember seeing a post from Achronos in here about playing games could influence your title.

Here is the thread, i think.

When I changed my Gamertag, I went down from Legendary to Heroic. It was still linked, but the stats weren't displaying. When I played a game of Halo 3, the stats reappeared, and my title went back up a few days later.
