Yes, while warnings have a small effect it can still result in you losing your title.

Small effect indeed. Took me down to heroic from legendary, and now in less than a week I'm back to legendary.

>.<
You must have been pretty far into the Legendary Rank if not very close to Mythic. I was Heroic, got warned, and three motnhs later I was Heroic which was two months ago. Now I am border line Legendary/Heroic. Im guessing Warned just takes you down a certain amount but that amount lost is easier to gain back. It also insinuates that The gap between Lengdary and Mythic is much larger than Member to Heroic or Heroic to Legendary.

Hey guys, is it true you get a promotion on you Bugnie.net birthday? (the day you joined)

Nope, on my 1 year, nothing happened. On my 14th month (earlier this February) I got my Legendary (and mid-January I got Fabled).

Nope. It can take a few minutes for the title to update after getting banned.

At Rollin: When banned, your title drops to Member, no matter what. After you are unbanned, you can regain prefixes and base titles.

Ninjas and Employees have a trust rating like everyone else. In the public forums, their title is simply "covered up" by gold or salmon.

A lot of orange? As it was stated before (I think this is what your asking) you can get banned, and still retain ban related prefixes. It just depends on a some unknown factors. Or so it is believed.

Also, I have a question. I though mods & employees have blue (Mythic) title bars in groups, but I see mods with silver (Legendary) title bars in groups. I have noticed this with a few of the new mods, and was wondering if there is a reason for this, or if when you become a mod the title seen in groups is the one you had before you became a mod, and it will go up after time like it normally would if you weren't a mod (if you met the criteria for a new title)?

  • 02.24.2010 7:03 PM PDT

Well Rollin, if you get banned your trust rating goes down to some -9,999,999 or something like that, not to mention your trust modifier is changed negatively as well.

If you get banned, you have a very good chance at losing your prefix and/or title.

Their base color will go up just as a regular members would.

The special titles, like 'Bungie Employee' and 'Forum Ninja,' are pretty much just masks to the normal trust based title system within the public forums. Underneath every special title lies a 'normal' member title that abides by the rules of the trust/title system.

That's not correct. Depending on your trust, the severity of the ban, and other things like that, you go down a different number of titles. For example, when I was banned as a Legendary Member, I went down to Heroic, not Member.

Usually title drops from bans are one or two; I have rarely seen a dramatic drop. (For example Mythic to Member. Even in these cases the member usually goes up a title soon after they can begin posting again, however.)

Employees just have the base member bar.

The picture was of a member who was blacklisted and had a title. When you're banned, you get like a -1000000 trust. You do not have a title. You are just a member. Afterward, you can regain a title. But that's not what we're talking about. So I am of the opinion that I am correct.

I haven't been warned or banned, or anything of the sort. I fluctuate from Honorable Heroic to Honorable quite frequently.

I agree with the larger "gap" between ranks.
As to obtain Mythic, it's obvious you have to be very active and really have to work at it.

Active? Probably not moreso than yourself. Just for a longer period of time with more age and more trust.

Heres a question for you.

If you are very active on Bungie but you have been banned before, would you be able to rank up?

Yes, bans expire over time.

I think you're still "stabilizing" much as I am right now. The past couple of days I've fluctuated from Noble Legendary to Noble Heroic.

I have seen this as well, and I agree with you Blah. I have even seen (sorry, no pics) where people where banned and still retained ban related prefixes. My best guess would be that it all depends (as Blah said) on your trust rating, and the severity of the ban. If you have a high enough trust rating, a three day ban might not even effect your title at all. This is just speculation, but as far as I can tell it may be possible.

Get over yourself - drink vodka!

I was an Honorable Legendary Member a month ago.
I unlinked my account and dropped to Honorable Member.
I recently re-linked my account and after 1 day promoted to Noble Legendary Member, though the Noble part is likely due to my having not ever been banned (that I recall) and my account crossing the 2 year threshold as of the 15th of this month.

Linking your GT gives you lots of trust points. I used to unlink my GT every month. Every time I did so my title would drop. Now that I don't do this anymore my title hasn't dropped.

I think he means while you are still in the ban you drop down to a member automatically. What he said is correct. When the ban is lifted however you usually go up to a title lower then what you were.

Yeah, I'm just switching back and forth for security reasons. I'll slowly wane the frequency until reach comes out.

It's cool that it seems to keep you at a high level once you re-link, rather than giving an overall deduction.
