Sorry of this has been posted before, but does ban/warning history affect the amount you post prefixes? I have a couple of theories on how the Post-Related prefixes work.

1. Warnings/bans reset how much you have to post to achieve either Intrepid/Fabled.

2. The second is the amount you post each day. This may just be the trouble I have remembering there are no relative titles for posting more/less than other people.

3. The third theory I have is where you post. I primarily post in the current Bungie game forum but posting in many forums at once may get you Fabled/Intrepid faster or if at all.

4. The fourth theory just incorporates all of these factors.

Again, sorry if someone has already had this theory.

Does anyone even read these?

Disagree. Look at me for example.

2. The second is the amount you post each day. This may just be the trouble I have remembering there are no relative titles for posting more/less than other people.Somewhat.

3. The third theory I have is where you post. I primarily post in the current Bungie game forum but posting in many forums at once may get you Fabled/Intrepid faster or if at all.Disagree.

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

I use to be a Mythic member until I got blacklisted for two weeks for replying to someone respectively in a political thread.

I'm still trying to figure out how my trust rating went down as much as it did, it's not like I was flaming others or spamming the forums.

You know what I am starting to think is a factor in Member Titles?
Activity on Bungie games. I have not played Halo 3 multiplayer or Campaign or even ODST in quite some time on the Gamertag I have linked to this profile. When I play matchmaking it's usually at a friend's house using an account of his.

I was sitting here looking at this thread thinking, what is it that could possibly be holding me back from moving up to Legendary or even Mythic since my account age warrants it? I have been fairly active for months, no bans or warnings or other shady stuff.

The only other factor I can think of outside of game activity is Groups activity. I currently belong to and participate in no groups, and haven't for quite some time.

You know that is exactly what I have been thinking, I have barely touched Halo 3 or ODST in the past three months.

That is a very interesting theory. I was Noble legendary after the weekend. Then a early in the week I dropped to noble heroic because I hadn't played in a few days. I've only just aquired Noble Legendary early this month after hitting my two year mark.

Still I think some of it has to do with me "stabilizing" in my position. Others may have hit a similar rank and the system is still trying to decide where to put me. Ultimately I'll probably settle in at Nobel Legendary.

That can't be it because I recently secured my position as a Legendary member without having played a game of Halo 3 or ODST via XBL MM since at least last September. You just need to be active in the forums, posting good, thoughtful comments. In time you'll get what you are looking for.

Post count and consistency play a dominant role in determining your title.

Coming up on my 2 year anniversary of being a "Member". (And a proud one mind you, with only one warning and one 3 day ban coming the first month I made this account.) I don't expect anything to change when that day comes and I'm kinda curious on how long I can remain a "Member" being relatively active from day to day.

And then there is all of the other Heroic members. I have just gained Heroic for the second time, so I could have stolen it from ace. I don't think I had done anything wrong when I lost Heroic before, I believe there was just another member who overtook me.

That is most likely what has happened to ace.

That's true. "Stolen" is basically correct, since the trust system is used to bump people up who pass a certain person, and then bump the passed person down. In effect, you're taking their title.

In theory, if you qualify for Heroic, then the Heroic Member that now has a lower trust than you (who has the lowest qualifying Heroic trust) will be bumped down to your trust Title, which before had the highest normal Member trust. This could also explain multiple people "fluctuating" title, since one would pass the other, and vice versa, for X amount of time, until one makes it to the point where they cannot pass the other and the titles are stuck.

GOAT

So I've been honorable through 2 bans, 2 warnings. I think once you're honorable, you're always honorable. I was honorable Legendary, demoted to Honorable Heroic, now Honorable member... Hmm..

The title system doesn't work like that any more.

Posted by: Achronos
The way the titles work is that the new "prefixes" are independent of the main "mythic/legendary/heroic" titles. Each of prefixes means something different, some relate to account age, some relate to ban history, some relate to forum history, etc.

The "base" titles haven't changed, although the criteria to get them has. The system is still updating for some of you, so it is possible that your base title will change over the next 48 hours (higher or lower). However, a big change is that once it settles, it should be much more predictable (the rating isn't relative to every other user anymore, it is a fixed scale, i.e., get X trust, get A title, get Y trust, get B title, etc.)

"Stolen" would not be the correct word to use, since the titles are no longer relative and now have fixed trust requirements for each base title.

Essentially, if I am reading Achronos' post correctly, you can't blame title changes on other users since the "competition" element has been removed. Any title changes that occur are solely due to the actions of the individual who possesses the title.

Well then, when I lost Heroic the first time it must've been activity related. I was slightly less active when I lost it a while ago and I was really active yesterday when I gained it back.

Bout time I went back up. One more to go! Hopefully this'll stay. I don't care about the title so much as I'm incredibly egotistical and like my posts to be noticed with a brighter colored bar.

Does anyone remember when I last posted about getting a warning? I was Legendary before that warning. So perhaps we'll have a time frame for when warnings expire on your history? It was a couple months ago. Duardo you remember when?

Or did we already establish a time frame for warnings to disappear?

Mine seemed to disappear after about two weeks.
Got warned, went down to Honorable Heroic, Then two weeks later, got Honorable Legendary back.

Or a week, according to my post a page or two ago.
People seem to think I was pretty far into the Legendary-Mythic barrier to have regained legendary status back so quickly. I don't know, I don't particularly keep up to date on these things, nor on this thread.
