Intolerance is the highest level of stupidity and inbred thinking.

MI: 5213901 UI: 5244621

My curiosity has been triggered. I just noticed that have have received the Intrepid prefix. I was just wondering what the average post count for most people is. I have a PPD that it roughly around 8.57 most of the time. What has sparked my curiosity is the fact that I haven't posted much these last few days. So exactly what is the "average" post count for most members, and what counts as a "high" post count?

Also, seeing as I haven't posted much in a few days I was wondering if prefix's are more lenient then titles. We know that the criteria for getting a higher title (or at least one of them) is not getting banned. If you get banned and fail to meet the criteria your title drops. With titles it seems that if you fail to meet the criteria you get some space to try and fix it before it drops, instead of being more instantaneous.

Is there a real reason for having ranks, or is it just to encourage bungie.net support. I think that it would be either cooler or better use, if the ranks had to do with actual gameplay, while some like Ninja couldn't be awarded, things like a title or recognizing of one's latent halo abilities would be displayed after their tag.

I think a simple title on your service record would be cool. On your in-game record, it would say:

Gamertag
Service Tag- Spartan/Elite
Title

So mine would say

Lord of Blah
A51- Spartan
Intrepid Legendary Member

I was actually thinking along the lines of like
(SNP) service tag for a title. Like so you would be given the SNP just before you name for like 1000 headshots, or something like that

Can someone tell me if post quality is a factor in the Intrepid and Fabled member title prefixes?

  • 03.10.2010 12:14 PM PDT

Lurking....waiting to strike!

I have read through a lot of this thread and came to a conclusion. Time here is not a big factor, posting is. I see lots of people with higher rank than me...but I have been here much longer. I don't post a lot.

I really don't think that post quality has anything to do with it. Only negitive posts can hurt you...ex. ban, warning.

Time still helps though. I've heard that once you're hear for one year, things change.

I can't say I've heard of that happening before.

I always thought that you couldn't lose a post count prefix.

It only makes sense that post count prefixes would disappear if they are based on averages, bans aside.

Maybe since you're a normal member, if someone passes you up in qualification for Intrepid, then they get bumped up and you down?

I'm not sure, I haven't seen this happen yet.

I think I may have taken it. Sorry.

I don't think you can actually get your prefix bumped down like a tittle, but if you have still been posting at a constant rate I don't see why it would vanish. This confuses me.

  • 03.10.2010 4:09 PM PDT

I have seen people prefix like interpred go down because of a ban, but is was a longer ban, about 2 weeks or so.

There shouldn't be any way someone can take a prefix considering it isn't possible to do it with a main title since forever.

Everything is interesting if you go into it deeply enough.

*One time I was walking backward when I noticed a $20 bill on the ground. This leads me to believe walking backward makes money appear on the ground.

It is my opinion that time is a very large factor. You won't get a title by making an account and logging on every few weeks/months. Steady activity, not "PPD", not account age, is what matters.

*Based on a true story

Eh?

Time is a factor. Trust me.

I have crazy periods of activeness and inactivity. For a couple months, all pot a lot. Then I won't log on for 2 months straight.

I've been here, however, for a veeery long time.

I lol'd.

As for his original post: Yes. Time definitely is a factor. Without time as a factor basically all you would have to do to go up is spam without getting banned. That would suck.

I agree.

If time didn't have anything to do with it someone could post a couple of hundred times a day and be Heroic/Legendary/Mythic in no time at all.

I prefer that people have to invest a little time and effort to actually earn their title.

I lost Fabled when I was banned almost two months ago and have never gotten it back.
