I have been waiting for quite a while. Maybe I'm due for one pretty soon.

*checks OP*

I know how you feel.

I think I'll get honorable in a couple months. Hopefully...
Is there a prefix for 2 years active?

Stop thinking about it and it will go up. I was Heroic forever going "OMS I want Legendary", then I went "screw it" and went up. :P

What's my PPD?

I just achieved Mythic, for the time being, after making a new topic and receiving around five replies in a private group. Is there any explanation somewhere in this thread on how private groups tie in with our public member titles?

Also, during the time my title changed, I was playing some Halo 3 Matchmaking. Does that have some tie with titles too?

Actually that's what I did when I got Legendary a couple days ago. XD

It is most likely just because of your Public Forum activity and join date of 2k6.

Probably very little, if any, since there are a number of upper-title members without their gamertags linked at all.

Okay, I remember reading about such explanations throughout this thread. Thanks for the feedback LordOfBlah51.

I've gained Heroic for a few days and lost it about 7 times now, what's going on?

Be more active. Losing your title means someone else earned it more than you, and took your place, where you took there's.

i.e. if you're the lowest trusted Heroic Member, then the highest trusted normal Member passes your Trust, he takes your place as lowest Heroic, and you get his place as highest Member.

I do believe that's how it works, depending on the trust requisites for each title.

I'm 23, I have a house, dog, girlfriend, job and I have no interest in any fanboyism so if you're thinking about sending me a childish PM, don't be surprised when I don't call back.

That's correct, it happens to me a lot as I'm one of the newer Legendary members. If I don't post for a couple of days then I return to Heroic. As soon as I post 2 or 3 times I re-gain my Legendary title.

I thought it was just a set score, and there are no limits to how many people can be a Heroic Member. I post around 10 times daily.

you should have gotten heroic by now if you were active, but for the one year mark, if you have no bans, you should get honorable

I've been here for 3 years, posting regularly for 2. I received a 3-day ban about a month ago, so I'm unsure as to why I'm Honourable either.

It is my opinion that private group posts have the same trust influencing weight as a public forum post, meaning that there is essentially no difference between the two in the eyes of the trust system.

If private group posts don't have a significant influence on one's trust, then I would have a hard time explaining how I have maintained Mythic since November, despite not posting very much in the public forums at all.

Also, during the time my title changed, I was playing some Halo 3 Matchmaking. Does that have some tie with titles too?Apparently the trust system take game participation into consideration, but the extent of which has purposely not been explained in detail. It could just be as simple as, and limited to, linking a gamertag to an account. Or it could be as complicated as measuring how frequent and long one has played a Bungie game title, we can only speculate.

I always wondered how this had actually worked. I gained Heroic earlier this week and now...it has sadly left as I was offline for a bit. Good to know more about how the system works.

So it's all about remaining active.

Sometime around now. It's totally random, from what I've seen. It all judges upon what your PPD is (though you can still rank up without ever posting; your PPD is 1.95), how many bans you have, and how often you log in. So you could rank up any day now, or it might take another month, but sometime this season most likely.

--------------------------- [End explanation XD]--------------

For me, I got around 6 bans my first couple years and didn't rank up to Heroic member until mid-January of this year, and I just recently got Legendary.

From what I can tell is that those 6 bans took a while to wear off, but when they did wear off my activity and PPD (Which I believe is somewhere near 5, might have changed) caught up with me and shot me up.

Bleh! Stupid hypothesis'!

  • 04.09.2010 12:40 PM PDT

I have just got my honourable member, yeah go me. I knew i would rank up today.

My Bnet Birthday!!

  • 04.09.2010 6:55 PM PDT

Does anyone even read these?

Can everyone please stop saying that it's random, it's obviously not as there is an equation tied into it.

  • 04.09.2010 8:35 PM PDT

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Only if you are consistently active, and avoid being banned/warned.

I remember getting a tad frustrated and saying that a few pages back. People were back to using the word "random" to describe it again in a matter of posts.

When I get my adult account I can finally link my gamertag to this profile. I unlinked it before because it wasn't my main gamertag and when I did that, I turned into a Member.

So when I link it back up, am I likely to go up again?

  • 04.10.2010 9:46 AM PDT

It is believed that linking a gamertag adds to the "trust fund" but is only one of the many deciding factors in which you rank up from my understanding. You still get some eTrust from it though me thinks.
