Still looking for an answer here, do warnings have less effect on trust ratings than bans do?

Also, if you receive 2 warnings for the same incident, does that effect your title twice?

Warnings do have less of an effect on your title than bans do, but it is still something negative.

And if you get 2 warnings, then it probably would effect your title twice.
I'd recommend you PM the Mod that gave you the warning(s) for more information about it.

You guys have short memories. One's title is not affected by the userbase. There is no set amount of any particular title, if you fulfill the requirements you get promoted. This means everyone could be a Mythic member at the same time. This was all covered some pages back.

I think the recent surge of new users joining may have had some effect on everyone's titles.

For instance, since there are so many new, regular members joining over these past couple of days, maybe those who were on the verge of a higher title might have been bumped up to to the next level.

Since the ratio of normal members to Heroic, Legendary, etc has increased.

Just a thought.
This does sound interesting and i think you might be right i wonder how many people we have gained since the beta went live.

That would not explain why I gained the 'Heroic' portion of my title only to lose it three days later with no moderations, no warnings etc etc. This happened 2 or 3 days before the BETA launch.

This probably happened because of the "trust" factor. There are only a certain amount of each member, so your titles fluctuate. If you dont have enough "trust" then you go down.

Someone else probably gained more trust than you that specific day and took your spot. Now if you continue to remain active and keep posting you will probably get the title back.

Thanks for the info! I am a fairly active poster and will continue to be. Mainly because of all you jerks. ;) That and the fact that I love stat tracking and discussing my favorite Bungie games while at work.

Either way it's not the end of the world but I wouldn't mind having the title back to 'Noble Heroic Member'.

I wonder if Reporting bad threads has anything to do with trust points. The day I lost my title I did report a post that I thought violated the rules of that particular forum/thread. Any thoughts on this?

Great thread btw.

That part I might can help with. I know for a fact that on my account, the 365th day I had gone without any moderation I reached Honorable. On day 730 (or two years lol) I received the Noble portion of my title.

In other words, go two full years without moderation and you should be good-to-go. Hope that helps!

I already know about that, but it seems like it's impossible to get Prefix's like "Interpid, Exalted, Fabled" unless you've been here for like 3 years.

Fair enough. I have no idea how to get those. I don't even worry about being that fancy lol. ;)

Subject: FAQ on Bungie.net Member Titles

-Life is suffering, now go and enjoy.

I have a question, if anyone could help it would be appreciated.

I am a Noble Member. To be a noble member means one has to be around actively for two years. That being said I am still a member. If I'm not mistaken 1-2 years being active is suppose to earn "Legendary Member" and 2-3 years is suppose to earn "Mythic Member". Is there any particular reason I am still a member?

Don't get me wrong, i don't have any problems with being a member, in fact I am very thankful that I was made a noble member. I was just wondering if I have done something wrong, that hinders me from becoming a heroic member or anything above. Thank you for reading and any help provided.

EXTREME PREJUDICE

The Noble prefix is based on your account standing; you haven't received any bans in atleast a year.

If you are active and post more, eventually you'll rank up to Heroic.

Thank you for responding. I understand it is based on my account standing, having to do with bans. However it also says that a person must be a an active memeber for two years.

"Noble - Active member for 2 years, with no bans for at least 1 year. If banned/warned, you may or may not keep the title, depending on length/number of bans."

That being said, wouldn't that qualify me to at least be a "Heroic Member" or "Legendary Member". As those are based on years of activity rather than account standing.

Heroic Member
* title bar color is gray
** active member for about 6-12 months

Legendary Member
* title bar color is light-gray
** active member for about 1-2 years

Besides exalted literally being 3 years, I'm going to have to tell you you are bit incorrect.

Six months in I had Fabled, and I'm not afraid to say I'm fairly annoyed I have to wait two years to see some variation. :P

Well have you been active, posting and being worthwhile for a jump to heroic, that is probably the reason. I am about to be here for 3 years on Sunday, So I should earn my exalted but probably not mythic just because I am not super active, but you know it might happen.

Well, I thought I was, but I guess I haven't been active enough or something? I don't really care either way, it's just slightly annoying more than anything.

Best of luck on Sunday, though

Does anyone know the (general) number of posts to get 'Intrepid'? I have a minimum of 1500.

I haven't seen an actual number on this...as with everything else its speculation. My guess is WAY more than 1500. I'm thinking of the regulars who I know are Intrepid and I literally see them in almost every thread in every forum.

I've seen Intrepid members with a 'minimum' of 1200 posts (B.net only keeps track of the last 300 posts a user has made in a forum), I'm just looking for a (fairly) accurate way to measure how close you are to getting the Intrepid title.

So can I ask? I have been part of the Bungie community more or less for about 3ish years and my title has changed a lot. However I have huge gaps in post time between thoes three years. I think the last time before the Reach Beta was mid 2008 and before that was the ARG IRIS. So why do I have the Exalted next to my name? Yeah I went 3 or so years without getting moderated but shouldn't the Absent have reset my rank? Or does it only effect the base titles?
