I guess post quality can be measured but it would take a lot longer (the web team would need to read them and rate them).
That would take for ever!

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

Would I be able to regain my Legendary title bar if I didn't get a ban/warning in a year? Or would I just regain Honorable?

Were you banned as a start of the question? And you can regain it but you have to acquire more currency... I meen trust points.

And yes, it would take forever counting each individual reply, but there are maybe 10-5 A7 employees that directly work on the website, you've got mods, and maybe some volunteers. But that is highly unlikely that mods or volunteers rate replies. They could always just have a really really, really smart computer. Then again, their webmaster is a hat wearing gorilla, so who knows?

I was banned multiple times. I would say like 5 or 6 times in the last two years. But I haven't been banned since sometime in 2009 and I have posted 300+ times since the 2nd of this month.

Ah, but you were banned multiple times. You, my friend, have been blacklisted!

*Lightning*

Nothing to be worried about, but a change in behavior will save you from further B-listing.

example (completely hypothetical)

You had 1200 trust points and 0 bans(represented by 1 because you can't divide by 0). Therefore your total trust was 1200/1.

But you were banned x times, so your trust would be 1200/x. As you can see the more bans you have the lower your total trust is. Yours would be 200 with 6 bans.

Don't fret about it though, the longer time you are not banned and a high post/reply count will get you back to where you were. But the content of the post means a lot too, as Achronos pointed out.

What do you think A. does around A7 all day? He is Overlord, he maintains the site.

So heres my story.....

I have been on here since April of 2005. I have been active for a long time and in less than 2 years was able to reach 'Noble Legendary Member'

I was bannd for 5 days in January 2009. I went to Heroic title, and continued to post throughout 2009. I recieved a couple warnings and was banned 2 more times in september 2009 and december 2009.

I went to Veteran Member...

Starting in 2010 i havent recieved anything except for 1 warning in January of 2010.

I am clean now and an active user. I help people now and log on this website nearly everyday. Do i have any chance of ranking up within the next year? My history is crazy and i have been a member since 2005. Some other people here have recieved a really high ranking since they were a member for so long. So maybe after another 6 months of keepin clean will i go back up to legendary or mythic even?

I would appreciate your replies my fellow legendary and mythic members. Thanks.

See above reply.

I have been member since Launch of Halo 3 and have 0 bans or warnings. Do i look like I am any different than you? Titles are arbitrary and meen nothing other than you are a fairly decent member and active member of the 7th Column.

As a complete objective point of view, not getting banned/warned would be an excellent choice.

I would like to thank the Maker of this Post. It helps me know what I must do to achieve titles. But on a more specific note it would be helpful to figure out how many posts to become an Intrepid and Fabled Member. If this is found please PM me if you can if not thats fine. Thank you

If you stay active and don't get any more bans/warnings, I'm guessing you'll "rank" up at a fast rate, compared to newer users. Though that ban will slow you down, it shouldn't effect you too much, hopefully.

For my theory of Trust points see page 370 of this post. For many others see page one of this post.

One is here: TOM T 117's theory

Now, I'm sure this has been discussed in this thread before, but I'd like to add my little 'testimony' or whatever.

For several months I wasn't really active, and only logged in occasionally. Thus, I was just a regular 'member'(maybe Noble or whatever). Then I stumbled across a group I thought would be cool, and started posting in there a bit. My title went up to Heroic right away.

Not sure when I went to Noble Heroic, but I think it was after I started posting in the public forums again, however it could have been while I was still just posting in groups.

So basically, I believe group activity is definitely a deciding factor, and it may even be perfectly possible for someone to attain Mythixzorz just by participating in group discussions.

dat feeling when you plow a multi-ton covenant war machine.

I have NEVER been banned.

I wonder why I am still a noble heroic member.

I'm not angry, I'm just curious.

Why am I not a higher rank?

(also I did not know I was penalized for warnings, because I got one about a week after joining)

You would have to hit the 3 year mark on your account, without any bans, to get a new prefix.

As for a new bar color, that's just activity related.

I find it strange that today I had legendary and after a few posts I lost it.

  • 05.18.2010 12:46 PM PDT

Guys, I have been banned four times and have been active for six months. Why am I not a Noble, Exalted Veteran Mythic Member yet?

:D Only kidding. This thread is an interesting read, though.

This happened to me when I got my Legendary status. It seems to me, that you're at the "deciding" stage. Stay active a few more weeks, and you should be a definite Legendary member.

Yeah, I think I remember having the sameproblem with heroic. I'm just curious as to why it does it.

You're on the brink minimally cutting it to be a legendary. Campbell is right, stay active and in a few weeks you should be a definite legendary.

Also, the more you get banned the less likely you are to ever title up. Like four bans reduces your trust phenomenally.

Why not stop by my File Share while you're here?

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

Warnings shouldn't do too much to your title.
Stay ative, panzie. Stay active...
