Yeah I can tell by the heroic; I haven't been banned either. How long have you been a member?

Hmm, still stuck as Heroic on an Exalted account. Makes little sense when the Mytic threshold is on its way into 2007 and I keep seeing young Mythcs with a history of infractions. My title doesnt bother me but not knowing what's going on does.

The title system has if I've understood things right been tweaked since it was first introduced and those tweaks must have included a heavily increased minimum posts requirement. I base this assumption on the fact that I recall seeing Mythics with not more than a total of 50 posts in their history back in the day. My account has way more posts than that yet here I am.

Another kicker is that I created yet another alt on the same day as this account. That account has been banned once over the most trivial of things and is currently just Noble but it is Noble with a Legendary title. How does that add up? The GT linked to that other account hasnt been as active in the Halo games as the GT linked to this account either so that cant be the explanation.

Edit: the alt isnt even Noble, its currently Veteran. I confused things.

My guess is that you have not been consistently active with that account since its creation. If your account was created in 2006, but you have only been active on it since 2009, it might as well only be a 1-2 year old account. At least, that is how the system seems to function.

There's a possibility that this account was banned for evading another ban on the day I created it but that's it. The reason to why I created it is that my main account got one of those bans due to my stupid cousin not telling me that he had been banned prior to me using his computer. I was pretty new to bans etc back then so I probably didnt know how to work my way around such things and might have fallen into the same trap twice. I have some weak memory of not understanding what was going on so instead of finding out I just assumed that my accounts had been compromised or bugged and created new ones.

And JB, you might be right about the consistency, or in my case the inconsistency.

Yeah, those bans in the beginning are probably dragging your Trust down a few fold, depending on the severity.

Consistency Is Rewarded
Secretive Trust Consequences Against Alternate Accounts
Trust Judgements / Past Consequences

There is an extensive list of official posts in the OP, but few people seem to bother looking at it. I just took out the posts that seemed the most relevant to your situation, but there might be some insight tucked away in that little link library. It should also be noted that the sentence summaries I gave all of those official posts are very subjective.

But yes, I honestly think that it essentially boils down to consistency. It seems to be a lot more beneficial to post a moderate amount over the course of a couple years rather than posting a freakish amount every couple of months. That's my opinion anyway.

I agree with Spudds, posting moderately over a period of time will result in a steady rise in trust, while a, if you don't mind my language, *quickie* would engross many points, but could possibly cause you to go Absent Member, which might revoke your rank title.

I am curious why the noble title hasn't beaten my fabled title. I've gone a year now of activity without being banned, and noble is supposed to be "higher" than fabled. Or am I wrong?

Wrong Fireskull.

Approximately:
3. Noble - Active member for 2 years, with no bans for at least 1 year. If banned/warned, you may or may not keep the title, depending on length/number of bans. Source

7. Fabled - Very high post count

...but you're honorable... unless you're asking when you will be heroic, well in that case I'd stop asking questions or risk flaming ninjas. You'll eventually get heroic rank if you post enough and contribute to the 7th Column. See page 370 for my theory on trust and how different variables affect total trust/titles,

  • 05.18.2010 7:48 PM PDT

I am not asking to be one or going to try I just was estimating how long it would take you to do it.

If you stay active, you should get your 'Heroic' Status any time now.

Your account is old enough, and as long as you haven't been banned/warned too much, and you're active on the site, you'll be able to get Heroic status any time between tomorrow and possibly weeks.

I don't know, but when I asked a member a while back about average post count, he said his was about 10,000 and Intrepid. I'm going for that, but mine is about 8,000. Anyways, I'd have to say that for Intrepid, you need 10,000, and for Exalted, 20,000. I'm going for 10,000. :P

Heroic measures activity. You're noble, which means that you have had little or no bans for about 2 years.

I'm striving for that or Intrepid right now.

Hopefully there will be a type of system where you can choose your status. You know, for example, someone unlocks Senior Member, but they have Exalted... They could choose to be Senior if they unlocked it already.

Of course the ban system would still work with it. If they get banned, they can't get access to it for "x" amount of time. But if they are repeatedly banned, then they would have to unlock it all over again.

20 Posts per day, and your account is 579 days old. Though the PPD is not reliable, but if it was, you would be at 11,580 posts total. Since this isn't exactly right, you're probably pretty close to 10,000.

I actually like this idea a lot, if someone has earned multiple prefixes, he should be allowed to choose which one is displayed.
