Bungie listens to its fans! ^.^ | Ninja .II./ You
RCG: In ur base, steelin' ur flagz. | Watch the demo, then join the carnage!

I think if you ever actually guessed close to the formula, it would be changed. Plus, there's no reason for it to not be pretty complex and weighted by all sorts of random things - don't 'aim' for a title, just be active and don't get banned...

I seem to have gone down from Heroic, no idea why, so i dont think i will be around as much now as i feel my year or so here posting has been worthless.

Being a Heroic Member made me feel like i had been noticed for my posting and whatnot. With that i go.

It's not like you had any special powers though :P You get noticed for the content, not the title. :D

Apart from the power of looking awesome ;)

I partially disagree, i say you get noticed by both, a great post will get noticed, but so will one from a Heroic,Legendary or Mythic titled Member.

And a great post from someone with a title will get noticed the most.

Im pretty disappointed.

OP - You're a dumbass with the reading comprehension skills of a second grader.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

Have you been posting consistently and have you been banned recently?

If you were banned for a specific reason, how much does that ban affect you from gaining a title or prefix? Does it affect you for a certain amount of time or does it change depending on the circumstance?

I'd have to say your posts. When I saw you last, you were just a regular member. I still remember your coup.

Your Average PPD is 3.75, or somewhere around there. I'd say, post more and post in groups. Also, be part of community events to gain Legendary.

I wasn't aiming for a title - I was performing an experiment. I still think the formula is something very basic at its core, but has many other terms in order to make it more accurate (not unlike the formula for Reach's matchmaking in a recent update). In fact, you yourself hit the nail on the head when you said "just be active and don't get banned". That is what the formula boils down to if you ask me.

Cry me a river. It is all well and good to think highly of yourself for having a title, but don't expect us to care about it.

Many people (like myself) post for the fun of it even though they probably will never get a higher title. Be like that.

Mythic members may stand out more and have their posts taken more seriously, but heroic and legendary members are a dime a dozen so I doubt that anyone really notices what their title is.

Not flaming just giving some helpful input :)

Rogue Assassins

I love my title but i'm aiming to get it blue like fabled mythic member!

Sometimes the system is glitchy because you are going back and forth between 2 'ranks' if you will. I was up to Nobel legendary member, and it kicked me down to member. so i have been jumping around a lot lately.

Headlong - BR starts - last game of Halo 2. Never forget.

REAL Mancannon!!!

I became Exalted exactly 3 years after I joined, so this confirms the description in the OP.

As of now, it says heroic again, also if you lose it for whatever reason you get it back after about 3 or 4 months (unless its just due to inactivity - which takes considerably less amount of time). I had 2 warnings (posting in the wrong forum, so nothing too brutal) within a week of each other around mid January or February, went back to 'Noble' member, then on the day of the Beta release (which was nice), I was back to 'Noble Heroic'.

:P Activity. Ever since your ban, you might have been active in the forums, regaining your lost Heroic. :P

Well I received this title recently and I have been a member for over 2 years although my activity does fluctuate a lot. I wonder what classifies as being active.

my activity has been great wonder about my heroic soon

Being 'active' is probably logging in at least a few times a week, and posting in a thread every once and a while.

I imagine there are varying degrees of activity corresponding to trust value.

Here's a look at how so very differently the Title bars can be.

Compare two accounts:

My own:
http://www.bungie.net/Account/Profile.aspx?memberID=1989008

And fellow Bnet member and associate, Lord Snakie:
http://www.bungie.net/Account/Profile.aspx?memberID=1862314
(Nothing to do with you Snakie, lol, was just looking at your profile the other day and the thought occurred to me)

We have an account age difference of roughly 3 months. Yet he is at Mythic status, and I am at Heroic for some reason.

Odd, is it not? He is, however, about 40% more active than myself. But I am by no means inactive, I log in and post basically every single day.
I have only been banned on this account once. A 3 day warning or something, like 3 years ago. I am pretty sure Snakie was banned once, but I don't know for sure.

Odd how such large gaps occur with similar statistics. I don't even have Legendary yet, never have.

I for one don't hold much value for titles, but it does make me curious. I know I have been around for a long time (since around Halo CE's pre-release days) and I know I am a dedicated supporter of Bungie and their games, I don't need a colored bar to validate that for me.

The thing that bugs me is the conundrum. Mystery is Bungie's way, but in a way that innately annoys me as I have a tendency to always want to know how everything works. It's the process, not the product, that displeases and confounds me.

It may because Snakie's posts are more helpful towards the community and yet he posts frequently. At least you can brag to him that you have Exalted. :P
