You're forgetting bans and warnings WWWilliam.

Bans and warnings may effect it but in the OP the Base Titles and Prefix's i mentioned the only factors mentioned are How long you have been an "Active Member" for.

And i would guess bans and warnings effect the base title and prefix equally.

Bans and warnings do affect your heroic/legendary/mythic status.

Oh i get what your saying , Bans and warning effect your Heroic/Legendary/Mythic Base title , but not the prefix of Veteran.

But do you have any Evidence because in the OP
Mythic Member
* title bar color is royal-blue
** active member for about 2-3 years

It doesn't say anything about bans specifically for this title.

Veteran - Active member for 4 years
Also doesn't say anything about bans specifically for this prefix.

  • 05.30.2010 7:02 AM PDT

Uh, my evidence is being an Legendary member earlier this year and going back to member for because I got banned for 2 and a half months total :(

  • 05.30.2010 7:07 AM PDT

I'll die to win ,
Because I was born to lose.

so you lost your Legendary title because of a ban , did you lose your prefix title as well if you had one?

Because i am not trying to discuss if you can lose a title because of bans which is highly plausible but rather how this guy has "Veteran" Prefix and just a "Member" base title.

  • 05.30.2010 7:12 AM PDT

I did not have a pre prefix.

All other Base Titles require you to be an "Active member" for about 6 months or more

To qualify for Veteran prefix you need to be a member for 4 years which should also qualify him to have a Base Title of Mythic Member which you need to be
active member for about 2-3 years
or at least a Heroic Member

Yes, it is required to be an "Active Member" but when Bungie.net means "Active" they mean being able to hold that account for 4 years by only signing and looking around. You don't have to post, just keeping the account for a year will get you "Honorable" and getting 2 years "Noble" and so on and on... But most "Veteran's" of Bungie.net are Heroic or Mythic even.

Although I'm not sure if you can lose the "Active Member" prefixes from a ban/warning, it would be great if I could get an answer from someone who was/is an "Active Member" to confirm this for me.

Veterans don't require no bans or warnings to achieve like Honorable or Noble , and neither does Mythic or Heroic , so how did he get Veteran without Mythic?
By only signing on regularly without posting a thing (not much) in the forums.

To be a Veteran your required to have been an "Active member" for 4years , but to become a Mythic Member your required to have been a "Active member" for 2-3years

Both require to be an 'Active member" i am not sure exactly what an "Active member" is but they don't specify different types of "Active member"

So if been an active member is to sign in and not posting a thing in forums defines "Active member" then signing in and not posting in forums should also give him the Mythic base title

And he has posted in forums

I would say Veteran is not affected by bans/warnings.

Well seeing as "Honorable" is the exact same type of prefix as "Veteran" I will use that as an example. I think the OP is describing an "Active Member for 1,2,3,4 years" is more about an Active Bungie.net account which is my definition/theory of not posting much but still attaining the "Veteran/Noble etc" prefix.

When becoming a base title; Mythic Member it requires an Active "Member" which is your definition/theory of getting the "Veteran" prefix. But I may be mistaken but I am pretty sure.

Fair enough but what makes the base titles any more effected by bans or warnings then Veteran?

Neither Base Titles or Veteran have:
with no bans for at least 1 year. If banned/warned, you may or may not keep the title, depending on length/number of bans in there requirements.

I think your getting confused , i am not talking about my title or the title Honorable i am talking about Veteran which is completely different.

1. Honorable - No bans/warnings in about 1 year. If banned/warned, you may or may not keep the title, depending on length/number of bans. Source
2. Veteran - Active member for 4 years

Get this: Base titles are unrelated to prefixes.

Base titles don't require a certain post count, unlike Intrepid/Fabled, they require activity, which is doing just about anything on the site.

Base titles don't require a length of time unbanned, unlike Honorable/Noble/Exalted, they require an amount of trust points, which can be effected by good and bad behavior.

Base titles require time to achieve, but unlike Veteran/Senior/Exalted, the time requirement opens up the ability to gain the new base titles. With the prefixes you get them instantly, without any other requirements having to be met.

Honorable/Noble/Exalted all require you not to have a bans or warnings because it is specifically stated for those particular Prefix's but Veteran only requires you to be an "Active member",I cant see it mentioned anywhere that Base Titles are effected by warnings and bans more than prefix's.

I am not sure what you mean by With the prefixes you get them instantly, without any other requirements having to be met. because they have requirements Ex. Veteran - Active member for 4 years.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

You have Honorable, which is only attainable by your ban history being clean for the first year.

If you want Heroic or the others, just be active in groups and forums. Usually my posts span back less than a week, meaning I post more than 300 times a week.

Don't worry, you'll get to Heroic fast. I learned that if you post maybe 5 to 6 posts a day, you'll get Heroic within half a year. But the posts have to be informative and very good quality. Posted by: winie

300 Times is alot. I soon will hit Heroic, I hope.
I guess 300 a week is very high. But I'm trying to get Intrepid by providing informative posts.

Achronos has said quality counts, so yes, that's a good idea.

I just hit noble today, second Bnet birthday, but I have the requirements backwards...

Its activity for two years, no bans for one.
That's the theory, anyway.

I've had activity for one year, and no bans for two.
I'm not legendary, which is activity for two years, because I took a hiatus last summer. As for bans, I haven't had even a single warning yet...
Thoughts?

I haven't had a single warning yet either. I'm trying to hit intrepid before I hit Noble. I wonder if Bnet Employees will have a system where if a user unlocked a prefix, he/she can choose which prefix he/she wants, not just stuck to one. Some people have Fabled, but want Exalted.

Exalted should Overrule Fabled, They might not have the qualifications for Exalted.

* In order from lowest to highest
* Priority comes into play only when a user qualifies for more than one member title

7. Fabled - Very high post count
8. Exalted - No bans/warnings in 3 years

Its because he got a warning. If you get anything like that from moderators, you will go down in rank. Otherwise plan on keep going up.

Yes, he/she got a warning. (Sorry, many people say that Skibur is a girl, many say that Skibur is a guy. So I'm not sure.) But Skibur had Exalted Mythic Member. When he/she got past a certain post count, it went from Exalted to Intrepid. That isn't right.

I already suggested a "unlockable and choosing your rank" system. You unlock a prefix, and if you want one from before, you can choose which one you want. If you get warned or banned, you can go down a rank.
