So is ranking done on postes or something.

I'm fairly certain that posting has quite a lot to do with it.

Posting basically has almost everything to do with rank. Though it can't be proven, I think we all know.

Well somewhere is this thread there are like 7 or 8 different theorys on what you need to do to increase your 'Title' (not rank) it depends on..

*Posting
*PPD - Post Per Day
*Xbox Live (Playing Halo 3 ODST or Halo 3)
*Linking your Gamertag to your Bungie account
*Being relativly active
*Warnings and Bans
*Activity in groups

Each of these (of what has been dissucced many moons ago in this thread by me and other members) MAY lead to a new 'Title' and 'Bar Colour'

Yes, I know, but a lot of it boils down to posting.

*Posting-posting
*PPD - Post Per Day-posting consistently
*Being relativly active-by posting on the site
*Warnings and Bans-from making bad posts
*Activity in groups-by posting in the group

Though I know there are other factors that affect your title besides these ones, the majority of the factors have to do with posting in a forum, probably.

You're only a year old, and you may/may not have had bans and or warnings in that time.

I haven't seen you post around much either, but I don't frequent all of the forums alot, so I won't assume on that.

Basically, just wait, behave, and post. (;

You average about 6 posts per day, which is pretty good. As long as you haven't been banned lately, and keep posting you should be getting heroic soon, or at least a new prefix.

something like that. I know my PPD is really low because my account age is rather high. and i wasn't active.

PPD: 10

Hmm..not low at all, compared to me at least.
Cloxverto:
PPD: 3.61

Plus, you're legendary, so you're obviously doing something right.

And besides that, the PPD script only takes into account what? Your last 300 posts?

I've said this before, I'll say it again. PPD is not a factor in titles, at all. Activity is, but that's different.

I can attest to this. I don't have any grease monkey scripts, nor am I interested in dabbling in extra features like that, but sufficient to say, my PPD is much higher than everyone else.

If Posts Per Day had a direct impact on your title, I would have been a super-ultra-mythic member back in Febuary.

Just to clarify, I never said it did have an impact.

I was just replying to his post about his PPD.

PPD DOESNT mean anything. Hell, I barely post anymore, and I'm still active (log in wise), so I get new title bars, apparently.

Disagree.

I think the number of posts you make does actually impact your trust rather significantly. I got Mythic... hmm... seven months after I was banned and warned (two months after another warning), and I was only two and a half years old at the time. Most Mythics only become Mythic after about three years; me becoming Mythic then, especially after all that negative trust, speaks to how epicly a 10+ PPD can probably boost your trust, because I still was making threads maybe once a month tops back then.

PPD =/= Number of posts in total.

Obviously the posts that you make have to be relatively recent, otherwise the trust bonus you would get from them is relatively... well, nonexistent. I hadn't posted anywhere outside of private groups (other than for the Flood Forum Games) for over a year until July of '08, and then seven months later I was Mythic. During those seven months I got my PPD level from .3___ (I think it was) to 10.344 (again, I think it was). Therefore, PPD, as PPD is your recent count.

Fair enough, but in your scenario there are many other factors such as your 7 months of activity and posting in the main forums may influence your trust rating more than posting in groups.

I really don't actually think PPD is all that important or even relevant- I could be 100% right or 100% wrong. It's impossible to know.

At one point when I was so obsessed with posting in the Forums I had a 47 PPD that lasted around 3 - 4 months ranging from 25 - 47.. but I still had my 'Noble Member' Title.
