man i wish my title would rise, iv taken the advice and started posting regularly for a few months now, dont even have the heroic title, which, if the points on the first post where true, i should have had ages ago.
Well its how many bans you have gotten and how active you really are maybe you need to be more active for the system is waiting for you to keep up your activity.

I'll die to win ,
Because I was born to lose.

I have thought up a theory, Read carefully.
Bans/Warnings effect titles but have nothing to do with the theory.

Base Title are earned by been a active member for certain amount of time.
Pre-fix Titles are earned by been a member for a certain amount of time and is currently active.

How it works in OP:
-To earn the Base Title: Mythic Member, you have to be a active member for about 2-3 years.
-To earn Pre-fix: Veteran, you have to be a Active member for 4 years.

How it works in my Theory:
-To earn the Base Title: Mythic Member, you have to be a active member for about 2-3 years.
-To earn the Pre-Fix Title: Veteran, you have to be a Member for 4 years who is Active.

Example:
I joined in 7/7/2008 but wasn't I active it till 18/5/2010 so I've been a member for 2 years but only active for last couple of months and I have: Noble Member, I am currently active and have been a member for 2 years which is required to earn: Noble, But I haven't earned a base Title because I have only been a Active Member for 2 months.

Understand?
The main point of the theory is the difference between Active Member for Pre-fix titles and Member who is Active for Base titles.

So I was heroic, now am not. This happened overnight. Any ideas??
I haven't had any recent bans/warnings, and have been a member for about 3 years...

The trust system decided you were no longer worthy of the Heroic title. Maybe it was due to a recent drop off in activity, or a reduction in the quality of your posts.

Thanks for the reply, however my recent activity has increased, if anything. I've had some debates on the functionality of armor lock, and then I'm all of the sudden back to a normal member. I dunno, who can understand this stuff anyway...

Feel free to send me messages, please be willing to wait 6-8 years for a reply.

1-7 hours if you at least tried to make it readable.

Immediately if you are Yax, Telec, or legendary.

Never if you are mythic, you guys smell funny.

iv never been banned and only been warned once, so thats not much of an issue, i dont really get how some people barely have to be here a few weeks and can get decente titles.

Well was the debate a childish "no you!" sort of thing, or was it a serious discussion? I think the system somehow can figure out your behavior through the content of your post. It can't measure how right or wrong you are, but it does measure "trustworthiness."

The system must somehow differentiate between valid arguments and logical fallacies

Well there must be other people who are posting more than you and being more active than you, they deserved 'Heroic' more than you.. this is what most of us think happens.

In other words,

Active member "prefix" titles- Had an "active" account since X/X/XXXX

Member who is active "base" titles- Has had an account for a while and has been active everyday for X amount of months, years, etc.

Am I following this right?

I wouldn't say you have to be 'active', but you have to at least post a few times. Like maybe a few posts that day and the Title may show up, and I don't think the Prefix goes away after it's earned unless you get warned/banned, or maybe if you go absent.

I don't know how to explain it without repeating myself.

But I think you got it except:
Active member "prefix" titles- Had an account since X/X/XXXX who is currently active(Not active all the time since X/X/XXXX but currently active)

Try getting the original 49 achievements, and this is the wrong place to ask that.

Can someone define: active member..?

Does it mean like post once a day or just be online everyday or what?

Posting, contributing to threads, making threads, not getting banned, etc. The basic stuff. Just don't be an ass, and things will slide along just fine.

  • 07.12.2010 12:17 AM PDT

Okay, thanks for that. :)

  • 07.12.2010 12:38 AM PDT

Active - Just signing in is being Active
Posting and not getting banned is how you get titles and bar colours (Apart from the time titles).

You don't 'Need' to do anything apart from not breaking the rules and being Active which you should be doing anyway, they ask you remember.

I haven't posted at all, but I recently noticed the whole titles thing, I suppose I'm a year and a half active, therefore making me solely an honoroable member.

This is true. You have gone more than a year without a ban, and are currently active, making you Honorable. However, your lack of activity produces a trust rating too low to qualify for a base title higher than Member.

I'm kind of annoyed that I haven't gone up at all. Never been banned or warned, and have been active for almost a year and a member for nearly two.
