The lengths of the bans could be interfering with you ranking up beyond a member. 3 day bans effect a user for about 1-3 months while a 7 day ban effects a user for 4-5 months. Do you remember how long they lasted?

Ive had my account for a little bit more than a year and i have been banned like once or twice and i am usually on here every day, and i havent had any changes im still just a member..
I've been a member since 6.27.09

Yeah... also you've been a member just over a year it took me a while to get 'Noble' and I only recently got 'Heroic'.

Ahhh... then it will be a while; at least another month.

  • 07.16.2010 2:59 PM PDT

So in theory it will take you about another 4-5 months before you achieve heroic status. Prefixes, on the other hand, may vary such as Intrepid or Fabled.

When it says "very high post count", they mean very high. It took me forever before I had Fabled.

Dead Mans Hand-Always Loaded.

I WAS SOCK

So, I'm about a week from Veteran, and I just got Intrepid. Assuming I don't get banned, according to the priorities in the list of the OP, does that mean I will never see Veteran? Or is it possible I will if my ppd drops?

Basically, I'm asking if 'high post count' is assumed to factor in ppd, or if its just overall post count.

Unfortunately yes, intrepid is a higher then Veteran. But if you want it really badly, then just don't post for a few days and it should go down.

Seeing as it took me a year to get intrepid, it might take me another to get fabled.

Can't be too careful with your company. I can feel the devil walking next to me.

But if it is based on total posts, he's pretty much stuck.

Lack of activity could possibly change that, but who knows.

Edit- I just realized something. It took me one year to achieve intrepid. As of now I'm Fabled. So, it took me 1 and a half months to achieve Fabled. This means I was already near the requirements of getting the title(?)

Can someone shed some light on this? I never knew I would achieve Fabled so fast.

If you look closely to his profile, I can assure you that he's been inactive for more than two month. Means that he's becoming an absent member of bungie.net.

Maybe he could be a bungie contractor and forum ninja part of his contract and he may work outside of bungie.

My new B.net account is Grizzled Ancient. If you see him, its me.

So if I keep my post count high, then I should be able to get heroic, and even honorable back?

Yep, if you keep up your activity and post good quality post. You should get ranked up soon.

The Honorable prefix is based on time spent without disciplinary action. You don't have to post at all for that.

The base titles depend on much more than activity, otherwise I would be Mythic. Keep in mind that only the web team knows the system, but it seems to favor consistency and maturity. Posting erratically is bound to hurt you, and each post gets a "trustworthiness" rating (I'm not certain that posts are rated individually, but you get the idea). Just posting isn't good enough. You have to make your posts worth reading.

Which is good. And I'm not saying anything about you particularly, but most people aren't nearly as helpful or contributive to a discussion as they think they are. Several Mythic Members are very sporadic posters, but they are consistent, and every post they make is a good read.

But then again, and I won't dare call names, there is one Mythic that just seems to spam every thread he comes across with goofy responses, that in no way advance the discussion. It is because of this that I don't hold much stock in base titles.

Subject: FAQ on Bungie.net Member Titles

Ok, so I am pretty new to the site, but I have read through the main points of this thread, and I find it very interesting. However...

I just got warned in the Flood for posting spam (sorry), so because I am so new, how does this effect my trust rating? Does it screw me over title-wise for a while? How big of a deal is a warning when it comes to gaining titles?

A warning has very a very little effect on your trust rating. I see nothing to worry about.
